Following the stories of people from all walks of life who have each experienced the death of a loved one, the film explores what it means to lose someone without losing ourselves in the process.
In addition to the stories featured, it will include interviews with professionals including counselors, hospice nurses, EMT workers and more. Shot in cities around the country, the film will feature moving cinematography and beautiful music to create a story layered with honesty and hope.
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge on this project, is not technical but rather emotional. It is in people trusting us enough to open a very personal and sensitive part of their story. In our pre-production work we are focusing our energy on building relationships with the people who will appear in the film. Establishing a trust and shared sense of purpose with our interviewees will be key in helping to create a film that makes a lasting positive impact for everyone involved.
We have also partnered with different kinds of counseling professionals to ensure the process is a healthy one for those involved. These professionals have expressed a strong interest in the project, and will be consulting with our team all the way through post-production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
