About this project
You are Trigger, you are dead, and you are at the gates of Hell.
You have dared to gamble with Death for a chance to return to the living world and now you must climb the tower Hades.
Inside Hades your choice of weaponry will affect everything from gravity, the speed of time, or even the intensity of the torches adorning the palace walls. Mastery of your arsenal will get you to the top of the tower; Death awaits you, one way or another.
Trigger is a seasoned sharpshooter, outlaw, gambler, conman, and overall badass. By no means is Trigger a good guy, and there is only one place men like him end up beyond life. Being the gambler and charmer he is, Trigger strikes a deal with Death himself.
As the gatekeeper of hell, Death often finds himself looking for a little bit of a thrill; Those who contest judgement rarely win. Trigger may have managed to con Death into this risky deal, but Death has hedged his bets. He wouldn’t dare risk the possibility of losing a new pawn.
Your goal is to scale the tower of Hades. Enemies become progressively harder as your climb continues. Additionally, every few floors you face off against one of Death's agents before you can continue up the tower.
These few paragraphs don't encompass our entire vision and we've kept them brief for readability's sake. We'll have plenty of time to share our vision through videos and discussion during and after the campaign.
Each gun in Trigger Palace is different from the last, and in this towering structure your choice of weaponry will affect the laws of the world around you. Enemies respond differently to different guns, and you have to adapt based on the guns you decide to carry.
As you advance through Hades you'll encounter stronger guns, but you'll be forced to quickly decide which guns to leave behind.
The constantly shifting tower of Hades is different every time for every player. You'll be sent to the bottom every time you die — which you will — but you're going to get a little farther with every attempt. Permanent stat increases and weapon storage will make each climb less burdensome.
Aesthetics differ between the floors of Hades as well, some like the screenshot above are very narrow and lit only by the torches and chandeliers. Others are vast and expansive with lots of natural light — well as natural as Hades can get.
At the end of every floor, you enter the elevator that takes you to the next. This ornate elevator doubles up as cozy lounge where you can regroup and strategize how to advance further up the tower. Just listen to this composition by Bryan Delerson, our musician, and you'll understand the feel we're going for.
You can gamble gathered chips on slot machines to try to gain access to abilities and stat changes that will enhance your weaponry. The elevator is also the location of the gun locker, a place where you can hold a weapon for a future climb through the tower so you don't have to start empty-handed.
We're Triverske, a growing independent developer in the Dallas area. Trigger Palace is a culmination of our finest ideas and we hope you'll be as excited to play it as we are excited to make it.
Trigger Palace is being developed in-house (not outsourced) by our dedicated team using Epic's Unreal 4 Engine. Our current plans are to bring it to Steam, a platform we are already familiar with. With your extended help we will also be able to bring it to XBOX One and Playstation 4.

David Nighswander - Lead Programmer
Avid gamer and programmer — David is a relatively new face when it comes to professional game development and is looking forward to creating all kinds of games using both his own ideas and the ideas of his teammates.
Bryan Delerson - Music & Sound Effects
Purveyor of dope sounds — Bryan slaves away in his studio to support his Tex-Mex addiction. Never one to back down from a challenge, Bryan was excited to make music for this procedurally generated Gothic-Western-Noir excursion into the Devil’s playhouse.
John Villapando - Community Director
John Villapando is new to Triverske and working as community manager and general secretary. He comes from a background in entertainment, event management, and healthcare. In his spare time, he looks up Pokemon meta, walks his dog, drinks wine, and works out — sometimes in that order.
Here’s an important point we at Triverske want to make clear: Trigger Palace will be produced either way. If we don’t reach our goal we will still make this game. However, should our goal be reached we will make this game better and get it into your hands sooner.
The money provided by this Kickstarter will afford us the ability to devote more time and resources to this project. These funds will be the difference between making Trigger Palace and making Trigger Palace great. We’re not asking you to fund our game for us. We’re asking you to join us in creating a really great game.
We'd like to thank you for your help towards reaching our goal of bringing Trigger to market, so we've put together some pretty neat rewards for you to enjoy. For the most part all of our rewards are explained on the right side of the page, but there's two things we want to bring your attention to.
First, all pledges $15 and higher will receive a backer number. When you ride in the elevator between floors of the tower, you'll be reminded of the coolest game you ever backed.
For those who pledge $79+ we've put together a very limited Deluxe Box set, and it's truly marvelous.
No expense was spared to bring you a true, quality set of items showing just a small piece of the work poured into the game. Such items include:

You'll also get your name in the credits at this tier, we'll even let you put on your resume that you practically made the entire game yourself.
With regards to our funding goal, we wanted to make sure that everything we needed in the game was already included in that number. Raising the full amount will help us make the Trigger Palace we envision. As with every game, there were a few ideas that couldn't quite fit in the initial plan. With your additional help we can keep a few of these items off the cutting room floor.
For those who tend to like a challenge, we'd love to craft a gamemode that's difficult beyond "give the enemies double health". Unfortunately as you might imagine actual difficulty increase is more than an afterthought. At this level we could give our undivided attention a true nightmarish experience.
With our previous title Circuit Breakers we found that getting the game running on consoles was straightforward, but getting the game ready on consoles is a long, intense process. With a little extra funding we can target these platforms early on to make sure that we're able to have a full simultaneous release.

Risks and challenges
With any video game title you run the risk of several delays, unexpected hurdles, and mountains of bugs. We're no exception to the rule, but we've gone ahead and made adjustments to our schedule to compensate for the problems that arise.
