Lifeform is a game of survival horror for up to 4 players. One player is an unstoppable, utterly hostile alien. All other players are the crew of the doomed mining starship Valley Forge. Lifeform can also be played alone with the solo expansion Dragon's Domain where the player fights to survive against the game itself.
Racing against the self-destruct timer, the crew must search their labyrinthine ship for weapons and supplies to load onboard the escape shuttle, whilst the alien lifeform ruthlessly tears the crew apart one by one...
No marines. No power armour. Just terror...
Lifeform is a standalone, diceless game that tells the tale of twelve commercial astronauts working on a battered mining starship, far away in space and time, who encounter an awesome galactic horror.

That board!! At a mammoth 40 x 20 inches the ship blueprint really puts the board in board game. With over 80 beautiful chambers it really is a labyrinthine ship unlike anything we've ever seen in a board game before. When it's laid out on the table for demos people just stop and stare...

The cards for the crew and for the Lifeform use an elegant sequence of icons to describe what actions you can perform by playing the card:
Search, move, run, hide... survive at all costs! Use shock-prods and fire flamethrowers!
The lifeform stalks the starship, hides in the vents, cocoons and evolves, and mercilessly slaughters the crew!
The rules will be available to download shortly - we're just adding the final graphical touches so they look the best they can.
Dragon's Domain - the solo mode for Lifeform - is a totally unique, bespoke experience for the solo player with extra rules, components and thematic card decks. This expansion sees the player take on the unstoppable Lifeform single-handedly in a desperate battle for escape and survival. Mark Chaplin (@Yugblad): Mark Chaplin (b. 1971) was born in Portsmouth, England, and has since lived all over the country - now residing in Nottingham. An avid player of Dungeons & Dragons, and Tunnels & Trolls, he developed his first boardgame at the age of eleven, based on Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. He is the designer of the award-winning card game based on John Carpenter's The Thing, but is best known as the creator of the Wild West card game Revolver, and the alien invasion game Invaders. Mark actively works as a game designer, miniature painter, and as a model maker.
Tristan Hall (@quahogmire): Award-nominated game designer Tristan Hall has been designing thematic games since childhood. After his fanmade scenarios and mods for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game and the Dungeons & Dragons Adventure System games received 50,000+ downloads Tristan launched his own epic fantasy adventure game Gloom of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game, which successfully funded on Kickstarter (twice), followed by the equally successful history-based card game 1066, Tears to Many Mothers. Francesca L Hall (@Ninjadorg): Having played the piano since the age of four, Francesca has composed numerous soundtracks including short films exhibited at Raindance, Edinburgh and Cannes film festivals, and the award winning film 'Detention'. We do not artificially inflate our game prices to subsidise shipping, it is simply in line with what we have to pay. Shipping will be charged after the campaign, and individually based on your location and the expansion selections you have made. For one copy of Gloom of Kilforth, for example, our previous costs were approximately:

Our first sell-out game, 'Gloom of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game' was in the official Top Ten Games of the Year as voted for by Tabletop Gaming Magazine and is undergoing its second reprint complete with expansions.
Our second title, the historical card game '1066, Tears to Many Mothers' was nominated for a Golden Geek Award and an Origins Award. 1066, Tears to Many Mothers has already gone to the printers and will be delivered this summer. Here's a detailed breakdown of where we're up to with our projects and what's coming down the pipeline:
Risks and challenges
This is the fourth project for Hall or Nothing Productions. Thanks to the thousands of generous backers who successfully funded Gloom of Kilforth originally, as well as its reprint and expansions, along with our second game 1066, Tears to Many Mothers, we have learnt a huge amount about the development process, design and file submission for the printers, and we will be working again in close partnership with our factories and fulfilment agencies to ensure the smoothest delivery of your games.
Production of the cards and game boxes will take a couple of months.
This will only be possible once all the art for the game has been turned in, but we have ALL of the art for this project completed ahead of time! This means we only have to finalise the graphic design and manufacturing files which should only take a couple of months. This means we'll be able to submit the game files to the printers in record time (for us)!
The final hurdle will be overseas shipping and customs and any delays which might be caused by this process will unfortunately be outside of our control. But as with our other campaigns when this project funds we will keep you posted every single step of the way, and you will get your game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
