"We Ain't Here To Dance" was an original release by a band from Monroe, Michigan called Triple Threat. It was released as a "cassette only" product in 1992 when the band was actively playing in and around the SE Michigan / NE Ohio area.
The band remained together as "Triple Threat" until 1996 when the band members made up of Ken Stewart (Lead Vocals), Tim Cousino (Lead Guitar / Vocals), Sam Bost (Bass) and Scott Marion (Drums) amicably parted ways.
Between 2003 and 2007 Tim, Sam and Scott along with Ken came back together to form "3 Legged Dog". Performing mostly covers, the band did do some recording, which may be released at a later date. Throughout the years, the band members have stayed in touch and continue to be in music projects of their own.
Today, Ken continues to perform in various Christian Bands...Tim has original projects under the name "T. Mark" as well as playing in more than one cover project...Scott has moved to Boston, MA where he continues to play with a local cover band as well as collaborating on original projects.
Unfortunately, in 2011, the band tragically lost their friend and bass player Sam "Big House" Bost at the young age of 47. Sam was more than the bass player of Triple Threat, he was a friend to ALL who knew him and someone who truly believed that the music Triple Threat had created was unique and marketable.
Over the years, we have had inquires asking if copies of "We Ain't Here To Dance" were available for purchase. Unfortunately, there is nothing left of the original 1000 cassettes other than limited personal copies. With that, we are seeking your support to make it publicly available for purchase and digital download! While it may never be a major release, it would be fulfilling to simply release it professionally on CD and ensure the music that Sam and the surviving members of Triple Threat created "back in the day" is available in a digitally remastered, updated package.
The plan is to send the original final mix to be professionally re-mastered, using the latest in digital Technology. We have updated the front cover artwork for marketing, but will be including a copy of the original cover inside to respect the spirit in which it was originally released, including artwork by Paul "Wilkie" Wilkinson RIP and photography by Tim Smith. It will also include the original band liner notes including "Thank You's" as well as pictures of the band.
If we are fortunate enough to hit our Kick Starter target, it is a matter of sending the final mix off to Disk Makers for digital remastering, silver pressing and within 15 days the final product will be available for fulfillment. It will be available on CD for mail order as well as we plan to post it for digital download on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
We look forward to bringing you a complete package of original Triple Threat music from the 90's and a nostalgic trip back in time...
Thanks For Your Support! Triple Threat...
Risks and challenges
The risks of the project are low. The original Digital Audio Tape (DAT) Master is in our hands and in great shape. Once we have funding, it is our expectation to send the DAT Master off for a fresh digital mastering session where we can take advantage of the latest in sound engineering technology. From there, it is sent for pressing, artwork printing and shrink-wrapping. All of this could be accomplished in as little as 2-3 weeks after reaching our KickStarter Project Goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
