The Trinity ONE is your 'go to' device for brewing specialty coffee. Combining a number of brewing methods including pour over, air pressure, and cold brew, it reduces bench top clutter and provides a functional, minimalist brewing experience. To top it off, the Trinity ONE is presented in a high quality stainless steel and black walnut timber finish.
Designed to be on display. Not hidden away.

Stretch Goal! Customised Timber by Specht Design
I am pleased to announce a stretch goal of $100,000 AUD, which will enable backers an option to upgrade their Trinity ONE to a rare, limited and truly unique appliance, with a selection of customised handcrafted Australian timber by master and craftsman, Daniel Schonknecht, of Specht Design in Melbourne, Australia. Choose from a selection including Queensland Bunya Pine, Aussie Red Gum and Tasmanian Hardwood!
The vision for the Trinity ONE is simple - to create a high quality brewing device for high quality coffee!
When I first started searching for a product that was a step-up from the huge range of drippers, press, and pour over brewing devices already available, I noticed that there wasn't really a step-up alternative to choose from!
Hence, I set to work on exploring the idea of a brewing product which is not necessarily the cheap and easily transportable option, but is more of an appliance that is intended to be featured on a bench, and is designed to be intriguing and interactive.
The Trinity ONE is a project which I have invested in heavily to get to this point - in funds, time, and energy. I am proud to be bringing my prototype to Kickstarter. I really do hope that I get to see you on the 'other side'.
If you have any questions about the Trinity ONE after reading the information provided below, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
The Brew Chamber of the Trinity ONE is double-walled for thermal insulation. The outer chamber is glass, and the inner chamber is Tritan, the same material used in Camelbak water bottles, a number of Sunbeam and Breville Appliances, and Baby Bottles. The inner chamber comprises a cylindrical section for brewing air pressure method (compatible with paper and metal disk filters), and a conical opening for brewing pour over (compatible with paper and metal cone filters). Cold brew can be achieved by using both sections of the brew chamber and flow controller for long and continuous immersion. It is also possible to achieve 'concurrent brewing', combining pour over and air pressure method at the same time.
The Press Cylinder is used for brewing under mild air pressure. The end cap creates an air tight seal in the cylinder section of the brew chamber, and the Press Cylinder provides sufficient weight (approx. 3kg) to press by itself. Standard press time and pressure can be customised by changing the hardness of the O-Rings which are fixed onto the end cap, or by adjusting grind coarseness.
The Trinity ONE Filter Head has been designed to house a paper or metal disk filter, and fixes to the bottom of the brew chamber. The Filter Head includes a flow control feature, which allows the user to retain coffee within the insulated chamber and prevents unwanted drips from occurring throughout the brew process. By turning the flow control to 'off' it is possible to steep grounds for as long as you want, or use for continuous immersion for cold brew method. After the brewing process is complete, the Filter Head can be removed and the spent grounds can be easily discarded.

The Trinity ONE is at the working prototype stage. The next steps involve transitioning from prototype into production. Specifically, this transition will involve:
- Final design refinements - includes finalising detailed design documentation and specifications, and ensuring suitable tolerances are in place for production.
- Setting up the factory - this involves acquiring a broad range of factory equipment and sourcing of materials required for production.
- Manufacturing - this involves manufacturing the first production run and includes a series of quality control checks to ensure the product is in accordance with technical specifications and requirements.
- Shipping and logistics - this is a significant process as a start-up business without established distribution channels. I will be working hard to ship as quickly and efficiently as possible!
See an indicative timeframe below, which shows the estimated timing for each of the above phases and importantly, when you can expect delivery!
- Kickstarter (4 weeks)
- Final Design Refinements (9 weeks)
- Pre-Production / Factory Establishment (12 weeks)
- Manufacturing (10 weeks)
- Shipping and Logistics (4 weeks)
Based on the above and following a successful campaign, your Trinity ONE shipment is estimated to arrive in January 2016. I will be working very hard to deliver on time, and will be working even harder to deliver sooner!
An estimated breakdown of the significant budget components required to realise production is shown in the following diagram.
With your support, the Trinity ONE can transition from "prototype to product", and can finally appear in cafes, brew bars, homes and offices all around the world. If successful, you can be one of the first in the world to own the Trinity ONE.

- Step 2 - If your location is not listed, then please check which zone you reside in by clicking HERE.
- Step 3 - You can then select from a shipping destination option that matches the same zone as your destination. Note, it's important to ensure you match the zone, rather than selecting a nearby country or geographical location.
Please also note the following important information:
Due to lack of established distribution channels, zones higher than 7 are classed as "Rest of the World". If you have any questions on shipping, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be happy to clarify and confirm a suitable zone for your destination.
Risks and challenges
The Trinity ONE is not an "off the shelf" product. The product is currently at the prototype phase, and there are challenges and timeframes involved in getting the product to you when compared to purchasing from a store.
Shipping does not necessarily include customs and taxes applicable for all countries. Rates are based on a normal transaction via a logistics service such as DHL and applicable fees may apply in some countries.
Please read all the information provided so can make an informed decision on your pledge! Shoot me an email if anything is unclear or if you would like any further information (email@example.com).
By pledging your support for the Trinity ONE you are allowing innovation and new brewing possibilities to be realised!
Throughout the process following Kickstarter, I will keep communication channels open to keep you updated on where the project is at up until the final shipment!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
