"This has real, remarkable purpose behind it: making people better at defending their friendships from their anxieties. The world needs this." - Mikey Neumann, Chief Creative at Gearbox

"What a lovely idea for a project. I've experienced this exact problem when thinking about reaching out to friends I haven't seen in years." - Sandy Weisz, Creator of Mystery League and Last Defender

"Jenn and Trin are hilarious in the way that makes you want to invite them to hang out for a game night and pet your cat." - @jennasaays, Owner IQ, nice person on Twitter

Tell your friends that you miss them or how weird you're feeling with the Friendshipping Postcard Collection, a box of beautiful postcards that make reaching out a little bit easier.

Make an apology, celebrate a new job or pet, or simply send an encouraging note.

Each design is friendly and joyful - it feels like receiving a piece of personalized art in the mail. (We've sent a few already!)

For $25, you'll get 60 matte postcards (two of each design) in a sturdy lidded box. *NEW!* With our extra funding, we're adding more artists and cards--you'll now receive 80 matte postcards for $25!

For $35, we'll add stamps to your order! You'll receive the postcard box + a set of 30 U.S. Forever Postcard Stamps, so you'll have everything you need to drop a message in the mail.

The rest of the postcards will say things like:

  • Sorry for that dumb thing I said
  • I kinda disappeared for awhile but I still like you
  • You got a pet, can I come over?
  • I could use some time & space to take care of myself
  • I'm thinking of you in this difficult time, but we don't need to hang out or anything, just do your thing
  • Oops, I lost your phone charger
  • And more!

Postcards will come in a quality box with magnetic lid:

Jenn & Trin are friends, colleagues, and co-hosts.

We’ve worked at Cards Against Humanity together for four years, where we've been lucky enough to make things like Pwnmeal, Concert Against Humanity, and the Science Ambassador Scholarship.

We also started Friendshipping, a podcast about friendship and mental health. We record weekly from our co-working space in Chicago, IL.

Here are some nice things people have said about it:

Each episode, we answer audience questions like:

  • How can I compliment a friend without being creepy?
  • How can I reconnect with a friend I haven't seen in a while?
  • So, uh, should I ask my friend why she unfollowed me on Twitter?

If you're new to Friendshipping, we think this episode is a good place to start. This one, too

We have five postcards designed and ready to print, and we need funding to create 25 more.

And simply put, we're not designers or illustrators. We hired some of our favorite artists instead, and we want to pay them well for their time:

Maki Naro, Lauren Gallagher, Kate Welch, Bianca Idrovo, James T. Green

*NEW!* With our extra funding, we were able to add two new artists:

Welcome Kris Straub and Nick Trujillo, who will each be making five new postcards!

Meanwhile...we've written all the cards, gotten estimates, and meticulously planned for every eventuality that we can predict. Now we need your help to complete the project and finish the collection of postcards.

After a whole lot of careful math and accounting for every worst case scenario we can think of, we've determined that we'll need $15,000 to complete the project, which covers:

  • paying our designers
  • payment processing and set-up fees
  • Kickstarter fees
  • manufacturing costs
  • shipping, delivery, and customer service with Blackbox

Risks and challenges

Shipping and fulfillment. This is usually the biggest challenge for project creators. Fortunately, we're working with Blackbox, which has fulfilled some of the largest Kickstarter campaigns of all time.

--------------------------------------

We've put a lot of thought, time, and care into writing these postcards for you, and we selected some of our favorite designers in the world to bring them to life. Now all we need is you.

Thank you so much for your support,

- Jenn & Trin
