The One Tribe Bracelet is an art of love and represents respect for the Earth and our natural resources. These bracelets symbolize that we are all one tribe - connected through nature.
Hand-woven with over 1200 beads, these bracelets are a microcosm of our entire eco system made up of many tiny objects working together to create a perfect whole.
Nearly three years ago, the loss of my sister to cancer led me to Colombia in search of closure and direction in my life. Along my journey, I met a very special tribe who have held on to their ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with the Earth. Art and culture are at the heart of their community and they’re happy to be sharing these gifts with the world.
These bracelets hold so much meaning beyond the beautiful symmetry, colors and symbolic designs.
Over 1200 beads are intricately hand-woven in each bracelet and represent the following:
These bracelets are an art of love and represent community. Woven into each bracelet are symbols from several different tribes and traditions - the Carare, Siona, Ingas and more. Many cultures represented in one bracelet because we are all one tribe - connected through nature.
They are a symbol of respect for the Earth and our natural resources. Just like our Grandmother or Grandfather, the sun, water, air, land, plants and animals all deserve our respect.
These bracelets carry with them ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with Pachamama, our Mother Earth. They're like a time capsule to a simpler way of life and help us to remember where we came from.
These bracelets take nearly three hours to weave from start to finish. So much thought and intention go into each one that it's like you're wearing good Karma.
These bracelets are woven by hand on a very simple homemade loom built with wood, nails and thread. The process begins by laying out all of the different colors of tiny beads to be used in a bowl. The weaver then uses a needle to meticulously select all of the beads that will be used to create one row of the bracelet. Once all of the beads are selected the weaver works the needle containing the entire row of beads into the thread on the loom. This process repeats for nearly three hours while maintaining sharp focus to keep the design and beadwork perfectly symmetrical.
Our friend Manuel and other indigenous families from Colombia will be hand-weaving these bracelets so by backing us you'll not only be helping spread our community but also supporting the livelihoods of their families as well. Nearly 50% of every bracelet sale goes directly back to the weavers and to support other projects within the tribe. They are thrilled for this partnership and the opportunity to have another outlet for selling their crafts.
My name's Mike LeBeau, founder of Tribe Outdoors and The One Tribe Bracelet. The symbolism behind these bracelets resonates deeply with Our Mission of connecting people with nature, the present moment and each other to share meaningful experiences together - OFFLINE.
I initially conceived this idea years ago while trekking across Europe and found it difficult to meet up with other outdoor adventurers. The concept manifested until ultimately I walked away from a career that didn’t satisfy my soul to follow my passion of connecting people around theirs.
Technology’s given us a million ways to connect, yet finding your tribe in the outdoors is still a challenge. Have you ever missed out on an adventure because you didn’t have someone to go with? This is because outdoor communities are fragmented all across the web and lack a centralized platform where people can easily discover events and connect.
These are the voids I recognized with existing options for connecting in the outdoors:
- Meetup - demographic skews older and diluted by broad scope
- Facebook - focuses on existing friends, not meeting new ones offline
- Dating apps - are just that
After years of watching from the sidelines...it was finally time to cut the ripcord and go ALL IN! Bootstrapping with personal savings and help from two very talented co-founders, we began trying to solve this problem.
Then life happened. Nearly three years ago, the loss of my sister to cancer led me to Colombia in search of closure and direction in my life. Along my journey, I met a very special tribe who have held on to their ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with the Earth. They graciously introduced me to their ancient traditions and culture, and our relationship has grown ever since.
That brings us to where we are today. I’ve never met such a talented community of musicians and artisans with respect for the Earth and am excited to help them share their gifts with Our Tribe.
Raising money for an app is hard, but partnering with a tribe with whom we share a mutual philosophy and respect helps to further our mission and theirs. By purchasing a bracelet you’re helping us to finalize our app and we’re reminding you that we are all One Tribe.
My friend Manuel and other indigenous families from Colombia will be hand-weaving these bracelets for our community. By backing us you’ll not only be helping spread our community but also supporting the livelihood of our Colombian brothers and sisters as well.
Please support this movement and join Our Tribe by downloading the app, donating to our campaign and sharing this with everyone you know.
How It Works
Connection to nature is essential to our well-being.
Going offline and connecting to nature allows us to ground ourselves and break free from the distractions of the modern world.
For our community, we draw inspiration from our tribal brothers and sisters who’ve held on to their ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with the Earth.
Be present and live your passion.
Our passions are at the core of our being and bring us into the present moment. The more we become conscious of living in this present moment, the greater awareness and appreciation we have for life itself. Connecting to nature and living our passions allow us to live a more authentic and purpose-driven life.
It could be while on a hike or digging your hands in the earth farming your garden. Maybe it's tapping into a higher consciousness through meditation or yoga. Whatever draws you into the present moment - cultivate it and let it lead your life.
Experiences are more meaningful when shared with others.
We’re only given a finite time on this Earth. Our time should be spent doing the things we enjoy with friends and others who share our passions.
We believe in leveraging technology for its ability to connect us and then leaving it behind. Connect Online to Go Offline.
Respect for each other and the environment.
Our Tribe welcomes people from all different walks of life to connect around their passions. We ask that everyone be respectful in their interactions with other members, both online and offline.
As so many of our passions rely on the great outdoors, please respect the environment at all times and apply a “leave no trace” philosophy when playing outside. As stewards of the environment, we can lead by example and effect global change through our individual actions.

Risks and challenges
Due to the handmade nature of these bracelets, our main risk is dependent on the size of the final order quantity. Fortunately, we have many talented weavers in the community who are committed and eager to start working on these bracelets. This partnership is an opportunity for them to have more work and provide for their families so they are dedicated to fulfilling these orders while maintaining excellent quality.
I will be visiting the tribe and working directly with Manuel who is personally overseeing the production of all our weavers. We promise to put our energies and focus to ensuring customers satisfaction, product quality, and meeting deadlines.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
