For the past 5 years the team of Chris Trew and Jonathan Evans have created tons of sports-themed comedy content (examples below). From their campaign to make Chris the owner of the New Orleans Hornets to their popular Pelicans Media Day adventures to their campaign to make Chris Trew the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, the duo has relentlessly provided sports fans in the south a steady stream of quality content.
This time around they are attempting their biggest sports project to date. With permission from the New Orleans Baby Cakes (minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins), Chris will be transporting his entire life to the baseball park for 5 days. Once he enters the facilities at midnight on Thursday April 6th he is not allowed to leave until the final out on Monday April 10th - the length of the opening home stand for the newly named local baseball team.
Throughout the weekend Chris will work odd jobs around the team (earning his keep) while attempting to live his normal life (watching Netflix on the screen in center field). He'll need to figure out how to eat food and apply his everyday routine while confined to the "Shrine on Airline." This Kickstarter exists to help fund the documentary crew that will be on hand to capture the entire journey on film for a project to be pitched down the line to various networks.
Risks and challenges
Our major risk is that the ballpark after dark will be much scarier than Chris is prepared for. We hear there's wildlife that hangs out in the bleachers when nobody is around (seriously).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
