About this project
Hell Yes Fest is the comedy festival that a great city like New Orleans deserves. We plan on bringing in top shelf talent from around the country while highlighting hard-working locals. We plan on making this event accessible to as many people in the city as possible, showing the locals that the comedy scene here is legit. We plan on showing out-of-town talent how amazing New Orleans is. We'd love your help to make this annual event as big and wonderful as it can be. Money raised will be used to bring in performers and raise awareness locally. The festival will take place November 9th-12th, 2011.
About Hell Yes Fest:
Hell Yes Fest is curated and produced by Chris Trew, a New Orleans native and comedy festival veteran having performed, headlined or produced dozens of events since 2005. The event runs every April in Austin, TX and every November in New Orleans, LA.
The New Movement started in Austin, TX in 2009, solidifying central Texas as a breeding ground for comedic talent. Since then, TNM has maintained a presence around the country by producing comedy tours (Hashtag Comedy Tour; Dream of Meal; Air Sex World Championships), festivals (Megaphone Marathons, Hell Yes Fest) and film projects (Comedy Central's "The House That Drips Blood on Alex"). Now TNM has expanded to New Orleans, LA (hometown of founders Chris Trew and Tami Nelson) with the goal of putting New Orleans on the comedy map. Together with the help of local sketch comedy mainstays Stupid Time Machine, The New Movement is excited to bring something special to the greatest city in the world.
The New Movement and Hell Yes Fest are both Studio8.net things.
