Force of Fiction: the story board game
A strategy-storytelling board game that draws on classic adventure literature for its theme. It plays in 60 minutes with 2-4 players.
Force of Fiction is a storytelling game that brings a group together around a board. It's simple with a healthy dose of strategy... and an engaging story that is different every time you play.
Introduction from the game rules:
"In Force of Fiction, players will be influencing a story as it unfolds. This is done by giving challenges of various difficulty to the protagonist as she travels to different locations around her home. Success or failure in these challenges will alter her status.
The story will progress based on this status as well as her location at the moment one of the 4 story frames is triggered. The timing of these triggers is a key strategy. To do so, players must choose which actions to take, and when. At the end of the story, whichever player had the greatest impact on it, will win."
Our goal is to raise enough funds to finish the art and manufacture the game. This game has been vigorously play-tested and meticulously altered to reach a high standard that we want the art to match. We’ve set our funding goal high enough to ensure a quality finished product.
Many of the excess games that are not sent to kickstarter backers will be sent to game stores around the country to promote ourselves as a new publishing company.
