Thanks for visiting. Here’s the deal: I wanna be a baller in the startup world. All the biggest startup ballers I know are scheduled to be part of something called Geeks on a Plane. Sounds strange, I know, but I wanna join them. And the bill is $1,500.

What the F#!& is Geeks on a Plane ~30 Geeks = entrepreneurs + venture capitalists + tech company execs + press. The plane flies to Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, & Seoul. We hit up the Shanghai World Expo, Startup2Startup Beijing, Startup Weekend Seoul, and Echelon 2010 Singapore.

Basically, it’s a chance to hang out with some of the smartest and most influential people in the industry and see the best startups in the Asian startup scene.

Honestly, when I dream at night, I think of Geeks on a Plane. And I’m a normal college kid...

How You Benefit If you ever want to visit these cities, I’ll help you plan your trip including budget, who to meet and where to hang out. Beyond this, I'm always happy to help a friend whether it's startup related or not.

Expected Costs The whole trip I'm gonna manage under $3,500 including the Geeks on a Plane participation fee ($750). No hotels for me, I'll be staying on my friends’ couches to get by.

By pledging you’re investing in me and I’ll be personally grateful. Every $1 counts, you aren't charged until I reach the funding goal of $1,500. If I don't reach it, you're never charged, I’ll thank you for your pledge and try again next year.

About Me I’m a senior at NYU, I founded Tech@NYU, the NY Tech Student Meetup, and co-organized the 2010 NYC Hackathon.

Even if you can't pledge, a tweet or a like on my facebook would be equally appreciated. Feel free to drop me a line via email (trevor.owens@stern.nyu.edu) or on Twitter (@to2)

Thank you,
Trevor
