Our Journey: One of Many Changes
Three years ago, Cory and I started working on a fun side project, Star Traders RPG. We had no idea the journey we would take from that auspicious starting point. Our expedition into indie game development has been one of the most exciting challenges we've faced, and one that has brought a huge number of changes and growth.
Today I have shared some art that helps to visualize the result of that journey. On the left is the portrait that I drew for the character in Heroes of Steel (the Outlander and the Thief, who is not yet finished) and on the right is the same character that I drew almost three years ago for the same characters when I was dreaming of making a mobile game, Secrets of Steel. A couple of pictures makes the story very clear, I think!
The biggest change has come just this month: very recently, Cory and I became a full-time employees of Trese Brothers Games. The success of the Heroes of Steel KickStarter played a major role in making this possible and we are so grateful to you all for your continued support of all of our games. You have all helped make this possible, and we are excited to be turning our full time attention onto Heroes and our other game projects.
On the subject of Alpha; it is ungraceful to allow a deadline to slip quietly. We have previously hoped to be ready for the Heroes of Steel Alpha in August, but August is almost done and there is still work to do. We have made amazing progress, and are on the verge of sharing some very exciting videos of play, but we are not there yet. With all the changes going on at Trese Brother HQ, we are now looking at mid to late September as a realistic Alpha date. We will keep you updated with any changes as soon as we can.
