The Gem Collector is a 2D platforming game being recreated bigger and better specifically for the Nintendo Wii U.
Nomi is from the Nomadic tribe in the Ashne Kingdom. Each year one of the twelve tribes is required to bring a collection to the King. If the collection is not met, he will send out forces to imprison and slaughter the tribe. Nomi volunteered as the collector for the earth tribe. He must collect gems to protect his friends, family, and the rest of his tribe.
The Gem Collector was one of TreeFall's first games. It launched for the PC in 2014. We are now porting it to the Wii U for a new audience of players! We are upgrading the art, adding better level design touches, two bonus levels for the Wii U version, and adding new environment effects. Here is a breakdown of where the funds are going and some recent changes.
1. $850 - Two additional bonus levels will be added! (4 Total unique bonus levels)
2. $1,250 - An entire new world will be added to the game! (3-4 New Levels)
3. $1,750 - We will add Flying and Vehicle levels!
4. $2,000 - We can add 5 additional multiplayer levels! (Bringing the total to 15 instead of 10!)
5. $2,500 - We will add two more worlds to the game! (3 New words total, including stretch goal 1!)
*Original Soundtrack video for PC game. The soundtrack will be a combination of these songs plus a few new tracks.
The list of rewards will grow and expand as demand requires.
Risks and challenges
The biggest risks people question when supporting a console game are: will the game get done, and will they be able to release it on that console? I can assure you that we will overcome those simple issues just as we have in the past. We currently have 5 different games on the Wii U eShop. We are Nintendo Approved Developers. We have also already submitted the paperwork required and The Gem Collector has been approved for submission. There is no need to worry, when we get the funds needed to finish the upgrades and expand the game, we can submit to Nintendo and after we pass testing the game will launch on the Nintendo eShop.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
