Introducing The Battering Ram
Battering Rams are medieval siege engines that were used to destroy enemy walls. Although these models are not quite big enough to knock down any walls; they are certainly eye-catching!
Quality Design and Materials
Just like the Trebuchet, Catapult, and Ballista, these kits are constructed from hardwood plywood and machined brass parts. These parts are designed to fit together like a glove. Making a very sturdy model that doesn't rely on glue to hold together.
Baltic Birch wood
Baltic Birch plywood is chosen for its quality and strength. First, the wood is sanded smooth and finished with a walnut stain. All the pieces are then laser cut to close tolerances. The thickness of the wood is even taken into account. Once the kit is finished cutting, the parts are visually inspected for any imperfections.
Machined Brass Parts
The brass pins are machined to size. They are then polished and sorted into bags. The Pins can be hammered or pushed in.
Whats in the box?
Each kit will include everything you need except a hammer and scissors. Glue is optional. I usually use a few drops of superglue to lock the string together. Everything you see in the below battering ram is included in each kit. The string, stained wood, brass pins, wheels, and nails are all included.

Risks and challenges
This is my 4th medieval kit project. Each time I learn a little bit more and improve the quality of the kits. This project has similar characteristics of the catapult project. The kit has a wood frame with brass wheels. (With the exception of the Battering Ram having almost no moving parts).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
