New Release! The Trayvax Keydex:
As a special thank you for all your support on our OG 2.0 Kickstarter campaign, we are offering a beta release on the Trayvax Keydex.
There are three new reward options including the Keydex.
To create the OG 2.0 we took the Original design and used all of our earned knowledge, experience, and feedback over the last 5 years to improve each function and added several must have features.
The OG 2.0 keeps the signature Trayvax card sliding function to make accessing cards effortless. We added a security clasp to keep all of your information secure.
The cumbersome Velcro strap has been replaced with an utilitarian money clip that functions as a pocket clip and includes a built in bottle opener.
OG 2.0 doubles as an ID badge holder as a way to simplify your life.
The bottle opener is improved to make it easier to use, durable, and TSA compliant (If you have an Original you know what we mean).
The built-in prybar is an entirely new feature to the Trayvax line with more to come.
Each new and improved feature was designed to make the OG 2.0 the ultimate sidekick.
The G10 OG 2.0 offers a more durable front plate with a better grip. G10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate. The composite material is often used in making knife handles.
Be prepared for everyday and every adventure with durable wallets and gear designed by Trayvax.
4 years after the Trayvax Original was funded on Kickstarter, we decided to upgrade the design. It took over a year to get the it perfected and ready to bring to market.
Throughout the last year, we created over a dozen prototypes of the OG 2.0; testing different money/pocket clip design, improving the bottle opener perfecting the security clasp, all while maintaing the features and look that made the Trayvax Orignal such a sucess over the last 5 years.
These are some of the prototypes from 2012 that lead to the Original Trayvax Wallet. There were over 20 prototypes and a whole lot of headaches before the Original would become the wallet that launched a USA manufacturing company, which has sold over 1.5 million wallets in the last 5 years.
We are a USA manufacturing company; our mission is to design for longevity, inspire to action, and give from passion; to drive a greater love of the outdoors to humankind.
Trayvax started on Kickstarter 5 years ago when we designed the Original wallet. We've moved from a one man show to a company of over 30 employees and dozens of products. Now we are back on Kickstarter with our newest design!
We didn’t make the OG 2.0 to be an innocent bystander while your other gear gets to live out a lifetime of adventure. We made it to stay right by your side as you push through the seemingly impossible, make new discoveries, and strengthen your bonds with friends new and old. That’s why the OG 2.0, and every Trayvax product, is made in the USA and comes with a 65 year heirloom warranty. Because this is just the beginning of the story, now you have a lifetime to come up with the middle and the end.
Trayvax was started by founder Mark King in 2013. Years earlier, Mark set out to create a product that would cut down on plastic bag waste. What began as a reusable plastic bag carrier became, through many prototypes and revisions, something completely new to the world: the Trayvax wallet. Designed to withstand the toughest conditions - and offer the most utility of any wallet, metal or otherwise, on the market anywhere - Trayvax wallets are built from the highest quality materials and made by hand, here, in the USA.
Risks and challenges
Trayvax only exists because of our devoted and loyal customers. We pride ourselves on providing the best customer experience around and fully expect to be able to meet our delivery goals. If for any reason we can't, our promise to you is that any and all issues will be communicated immediately and quickly resolved. We will do everything in our power to make it right.
Tooling Issues: We are a whole lot better at making wallets than we were 5-years ago when we started this adventure; but we've learned to look for unexpected delays. The worst case of having to retool would likely set us back several weeks.
Excessive demand: We are forecasting for a very successful campaign (thank you in advance!), but if we surprise even ourselves, it could take a few weeks longer than expected to fulfill all the rewards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
