100% of the funds raised will go towards the debt created by recording, mixing, mastering, & manufacturing my new album The War Within
*** For every $350 raised ABOVE The $5000 goal, I will give $100 to another artist/band. The $100 will be donated towards their own KickStarter campaign, or to their general artist/band needs. This will be a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE type format. Artists/bands who share this info on the social networking sites will be placed first on the list of artists who will be given the $100 donations. Pledgers can also suggest artists/bands for me to donate to. I believe in artist community. We should have each others backs...not stab them***
I expect nothing but the best out of myself, and that's what I intend to provide for you: the best studio album that I've ever released. With a pledge from you, we can make sure that this happens, as well as make sure that I can provide you with some exclusive incentives.
Thanks to my involvement with The Peoples Music Awards 2011 in London, England last summer, a great buzz around my work has been created. I was provided an opportunity to work with The Record Shop Studio in Nashville, TN on my new material. Since December of 2011, I have been hard at work on this project. This album is undoubtedly the best representation of myself as a songwriter and as an artist.
'The War Within' features:
Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Clinton's band) , Brian Nutter (Keith Urban's band), Sam Hunter (Jamie Lynn Spears band, Sam Hunter Band), & Chris Kimmerer (Mat Kearney, Eden's Edge), along with several other Nashville-area artists/performers who helped with background & group vocals. And of course, my right hand man, Brad "Bones" Jones is all over the record, ripping some great guitar parts. The album was produced by Sean Giovanni.
When recording a full length album without the support of a record label, an artist/band is required to shoulder the full financial responsibility. But, this also means that I get to realize the creative vision of the project to the fullest, which is quite important to me.
My partnership with Kickstarter will provide you an opportunity to take a direct part in the new recording project, and will allow me to engage and connect with you in a more personal way. Other than the the cool feeling you'll get when you're able to say "Yea, that new TS record? I totally helped make it happen" , you'll also get some awesome freebies, each being based on your pledge amount. You can see each Reward Package on the page here, and what each will provide.
The project page is completely transparent, so you can rest assured that you will always know what is going on with the project. The ONLY way you can actually be charged for your pledge amount is if the FULL goal is met by the deadline. If the project is so little as $5 shy of the total, then no one is charged. However, if the goal is met PRIOR to the deadline, pledging continues, providing an opportunity to raise an amount ABOVE the initial goal.
If the goal is NOT met, whether it be $1000 short or $1 short, I will get NOTHING. The goal MUST be met in order for the pledges to activate.
"5,000 ? That seems like a LOT!"
Yes. It is. This is one half of the total cost I've invested into this project since December of 2011. And I am asking you to help me obtain a tremendous goal and to help me reach the next level of my career.
I believe in my music. I believe in the work that I have put into this group of songs. And I believe that incredible opportunities are in store for me because of this album. And getting this new material recorded and released will help make all of this a reality. More than all of this, though, is my belief in YOU...my fans, my friends, my supporters. I know that we can make this happen together.
Thank you so much for your undying support and unconditional belief. Share this with ANYONE & EVERYONE! Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, email lists, classmates, church groups, senior citizens, babies...you get the idea.
Belief breeds reality ... let's do this!
