Our Goal is to produce two hundred One of a Kind T-shirts together with a collection of One of a Kind Earrings and Scarves by the end of February 2013 as part of our Spring Collection.
We cannot achieve our goal without increasing our supplies. We have estimated the costs at £2700, you will find a detailed expenses list attached below. With the help from Kickstarters’ pledges we will increase our supplies and achieve our goal.Without your help these products will never see the light of day.
The success of this project will allow us not only to reach our goal by raising the funds we need to produce the T-shirts and Accessories, but it will help raise awareness in how important originality is, will inspire people to believe in themselves and wear their individuality proudly as well as offer the world a high quality product that is original, unique and only for them.
Our Cut Guide
The money we raise from the Kickstarter campaign will go straight into buying the supplies we need to achieve our goal.
As you've noticed, manufacturing costs are not included on the list, as we are not expecting to get any other reward from Kickstarter other than to be given the opportunity to complete our project and through that allow our protest to begin its ambitious journey.
Any money that exceeds our target will go towards developing other angles of growth of I ♥ Transcontinental such as furthering close collaborations with the up and coming art community by releasing limited edition art works under the same strong I ♥ Transcontinental ethos and values.
Risks and challenges
We've spent the last year experimenting with all the aspects of production, printing and researching. We have been in talks with local shops and been selling at various indie markets across UK. A successful Kickstarter campaign will give us the chance to up our game and move on to a more professional level, by proving that we are able to deal with large orders and do what we know we can do.
When we started this brand, we did not rush to delegate responsibilities to others, meaning that we could stay in control of everything. We have spent a lot of effort and training into giving this a professional approach. Between us we are trained in web-design, art & design including printing making techniques, photography, film making, graphic design, business, textiles, computer science. Working for a year on preparing ourselves for a project like this, means that we are aware of the risks and that we are ready to handle most things. The run over of labour will cost us in hard work not in paying for more production or for services.
Being that it is just us two, everyone involved cares more about it than anyone else could. The hard work and dedication we put in means that failure is not an option to us.
We have not been absent from unlucky events such as broken kit, but we have managed to overcome these difficulties and learn from them. We are now prepared to handle this with solutions such as spares and access to equipment rental while ours would be repaired or replaced.
Even in areas in which we once assumed we did not need to be as self-reliant, such as A3 printing or printing the stencils and acetates needed for screen-printing, we have learnt that taking the responsibility means getting exactly the result we want. We cannot trust other parties to be as perfectionist as us, leading us to decisions such as investing into high end professional printers, including an A3+ 4800dpi.
We take these decisions very seriously and although costly we believe bringing to the market a product of the high quality we want requires this kind of dedication and sacrifice.
That being said, the awesome eventuality of demand being too high is also covered. If we find ourselves not being able to cover the demands, we have access to design commissions and our production team will be increased with carefully selected and highly qualified people. Each product we produce will be under our care and supervision and delivered to you as promised.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
