We want to compare and contrast public transportation, specifically the use of trains, in Europe to that of America.
We intend to use this documentary as a little window into the current state of the rail systems here and abroad. We want to start a dialog about transportation in America with the public and see what you really think about high-speed rail and moderate-speed rail.
We suspect that we’ll find that the US rail system is lacking in many ways, but we’d like to be able to experience the flaws first hand. In addition to documenting our own train travels, we will also be conducting interviews with passengers, as well as passers-by to get a feel for how the train is incorporated into their daily lives. How often do they ride the train? Where are they going? Do they find it a convenience? Inconvenience?
We need money to fund our travel expenses. If you've ever traveled to Europe you know how conservative our total is. This trip will be all business. We are very passionate about this subject and would love any help in realizing our goal: to positively impact society by producing a thought provoking look into the future of transportation in America.
