Hi thank you for taking the time to read this and check out my latest project Beautiful Mess. This is my 5th release. All of the songs on this record were self-written. The album was produced by David Ray Mayfield, an Emmy and Grammy-nominated artist and engineer. I have written over 150 original songs, 11 of which have been chosen for this record. The album is recorded, mixed and mastered. It's time for manufacturing, and money has run out.
I have been performing in and around northeast Ohio since 1996. I am proud to be part of the Cleveland, Ohio music scene, where original music is nurtured by both the song writers and fans! This is where you come in. Please be part of the team making this music possible. No contribution is too small and is greatly appreciated!
On a personal note, the journey so far, in the making of this record has been cathartic in more than one way for me. The reason I make music is to reach hearts and minds of others. It is also an outlet for myself emotionally and also in healing and pain relief. It is my honor to be able to have the opportunity to create music to reach others. Everyone has their own struggles whether they can be seen or not. I hope my music helps you and your healing process as it has myself... Thank you!
Risks and challenges
This record has already been recorded and we are in the process of completing artwork in preparation for manufacturing. Please help in completing the final steps of manufacturing and paying the cost of this expensive artistic effort! I will keep making music as long as I breathe. But there is a reason they call it an effort.
In addition to the challenges that come with putting together a project like this (each individual has their own set of challenges), in October, and during the completion of recording this record, I had a confirmed diagnosis of a rare disease called Morquio syndrome. It causes an enzyme deficiency in the cell and a metabolic malfunction which creates damage and cell death. It affects the skeleton, eyes and ears, heart valve and respiratory system. It wasn't until October 11th of 2017 that I got my confirmed diagnosis, although I have been affected by it my entire life. This condition has caused me to require many surgeries and endure months of physical therapy throughout the years. As of January, I will be starting a weekly infusion of enzymes in hospital to supplement what my body is not producing. This is not a cure, but it could be a way to stop the progression.
It has been a challenge to balance between doctors appointments, diagnostic testing, bad days and putting together a creative project. But with determination and the help of many others who deserve the utmost gratitude, we have managed to complete the record, get it mastered and work a very creative artist to do the artwork!
