Mastering: √ Complete! On to packaging ...
Did I say "New Album in September"? I must've meant "November." Holy smokes. You have been so patient. This has been such a learning experience --
A quick update to let you know that as of yesterday, I've signed off on the mastering for the album. I am working on the package over the next few days and hope to send LOW TIDE to print by Monday.
- this is me listening to master #5. whew.
We ended up going through SIX rounds of mastering with Dave Glasser at Airshow. I could explain all the reasons why, but I suspect it's of little interest... though I should clarify, it was ME, not HIM.
So now you're thinking: great! the audio's done! WHEN do I get my album?
It takes a little over two weeks for the printer to make and ship the discs and packages.
While the album is being printed, I'll aggregate and import your addresses to Bandcamp, upload the art, and create download codes for the sound files. You'll get your downloads before the CDs arrive at my doorstep.
In the midst of everything, I also have some tour dates that will take me out of the office and onto stages up and down the east coast. These of course were supposed to be CD release concerts. They are celebrations, nonetheless, and you lovely guest pass folks are good to go to whichever show you have chosen. New England dates feature Jim Henry; Florida is solo: 11/10 Colebrook NH, 11/11 Cambridge MA (will also be broadcast live on concertwindow.com), 11/15 Jacksonville FL, 11/16 Gainesville FL, 11/17 St. Petersburg FL.
So these are the parameters and the responsibilities I get to juggle. I am not complaining. This is a good life, all told. I couldn't be more proud of this album. We worked our ears and fingers to the bone on this one and the results are worth it. The dream is realized. I can't wait to share it with you. Thank you again and again, so many times over, for making it possible.
