We're Getting There...

Posted by Richard Harmon (Creator)

Hello Backers of the tPOD1,

As I mentioned to you in our last Update, we needed to "fine tune" a couple of tPOD1 production tools and that process has been completed. We are pleased with the quality of the sample parts being produced and we have approved these tools for production.

Since then, we discovered through durability testing that there is one last part that needs to be modified before we will be satisfied we are delivering to all of you, the very best tPOD1 product we can produce. Our engineers have completed the modification of the part drawing and the tool shop is working to modify the production tool for this particular part.

Some product intent parts have been received while others are en route or undergoing final assembly and packaging and will soon be shipped to us. Due to making sure we have the tools exactly where we need them to be, our targeted SOP (start of production) date is Wednesday, October 24th. Again, we apologize for the launch delay and we very much appreciate your patience with us.  Getting all of the tools right to make the parts is challenging and can cause delays.

We continue to be very excited about this revolutionary device and we expect you will be too.  Hang in there with us, the tPOD1 will prove to be well worth the wait!

Hi Richard, just a thought since one of these days you will start to ship, regarding to INTERNATIONAL shipment please consider to send it via normal courier and not UPS, since from my experience on other kickstarter projects i backed if you send it through UPS we will get charged big fees, not just custom taxes and so on.., and it seems at end of the day we pay twice the price of my pledge as in normal circumstances we should pay around 23% of taxes.... i think this way you will please lots of other INTERNATIONAL members like me heheh
