THE CATACLYSM FUNDING PLAN
What is the film about ?
It is a science-fiction thriller set on an old abandoned space platform around the star system Vega. A team of ex-soldiers and scientists onboard an experimental starship finds a disused platform in orbit around the star Vega. They soon come under attack by an unknown group of aliens who are set to destroy Earth and its solar system. But are not aware a time agent in the solar system.
They one by one dock with the ship it then activates the core device a device designed to twist space and an energy beam projects into the twisted space, which opens an artificial wormhole. After an hour’s travel in absolute darkness with only light emanating from Vega's bright star at the tunnels end, the ship enters the star system Vega. They soon find an old alien abandon space platform in the solar system, but after landing on a landing platform they come under attack by an unknown alien entity, out to recover gold and platinum stored in a large but secure vault.
The aliens battle the ship's security personnel but after losing the fire fight they back off and return to their ship which lands on Earth near an army base in the North Island of New Zealand an executive order arrives and the local base commander sends out tanks and soldiers to investigate the alien ship parked on a nearby hillside as they approach the craft opens fire destroying several army vehicles, they return fire as flames rise all round the ship once dissipated the alien ship is totally unharmed.
The ship flies high into the air leaving a white gleaming object near Earth but before anyone could investigate the device, it glows and after a few moments it explodes destroying the Earth and then the entire solar system in a supernova blast.

Anyone who want to see the climate change hit Hollywood and their demand on filmmakers brought to everyone’s consciousness. This means: * We control 100% of the copyright, allows us to distribute the film as far and wide as our imaginations allow us.
All profits will be shared among the people who funded it, the people who made it, and the people who thought of it. If we however make enough we will use the additional funds to fund future related projects & films.
HOW MUCH AND WHEN?
The Cataclysm will cost $37K for Development and $15 Million for Production. Less Bank loan + subsidy of $7.5 million. Means we only need to raise a further $7.5 million.
(See budget breakdown, below.)
Although $15,000,000 is lower than equivalent film production. We are able to produce the film for this low figure, without any loss in the quality of the final product, because:
* The cast & crew will work at 1/3 of their fees.
* We have most of the skills in-house (esp. the engineering and editing).
* We have a lot of experience of making films on budgets from $8 to $100 million in value.
The Cataclysm film project by Lone Wolf Films and Production now needs backers for this project and every dollar counts.
Once funds has been raised it take 3 months to finish the screenplay. Casting and Pre production will take another 3 months and the entire shoot will take 12 to 18 months. Then post will take around 4 months to complete.
Any extra raised will go toward the following: Production expenditure like outside shoot, set development, sound stage rent, cast, crew, music rights, director's fee, post production, set aside funds for contingency, film insurance, bank interest and of course distribution costs and good and service tax.
Myself, Peter Jackson and Vincent Ward plus a few others were members to the Greytown Film Society headed from the late Frank Fyfe.
Geri is known for her creative writing and filmmaking talent. She once worked in the movie industry, primarily based in Sydney Australia. This has meant my skills are still great even after being out of the industry for a while. I was offered a three movie deal which ballooned out to a six movie deal, including: If you want to know who came up with the idea of breaking open the safe in the movie "The Score," well it was me. We sealed the door with a product called Knead It (made by Selleys), Bob used a thermic lance to cut a hole in the middle of the safe, he filled it with water, and soon afterwards he inserted a detonator. Backing off with a remote his right hand, he then flicked a switch, whoosh the door blew off, and everyone on set was amazed!
Listed below are films that I have assisted with the production:
After the Sunset set Assisted Director and performed various stunts and have worked with Brett Ratner, Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Woody Harrelson.
The Score co-writer have worked with Frank Oz, Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Marlon Brando.
Escape from LA was brought in as a troubleshooting consultant and have worked with Kurt Russell, after an explosive error in one scene in late 1999, I can close to being killed. That’s why my right shoulder gives me issue all of the time.
THE LIMEY Writer; Assisted Director worked with Steven Soderbergh, Terence Stamp, Lesley Ann Warren and Peter Fonda.
Dark City co-writer; Assisted Director and have worked with Alex Proyas, Rufus Sewell, William Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland and Jennifer Connelly.
went to school with Sir Peter Jackson and Vincent Ward and had various parts in Peter Jackson’s films from 1980s to early 1990s. William is also a fully qualified engineer and fitter welder + fitter turner. He also has grip skills too.
Risks and challenges
Geri says: These days it is always a challenge to make a full length feature film especially for myself or even major studios. My plan in order to reduce risks is to shoot my movie in the Manawatu and Rangitikei regions.
So when it comes time to make my movie we will be filming scenes in Longburn, Manawatu, plus we will be leasing a warehouse space right here in Palmerston North. Plus we are looking at leasing land and two buildings also in the Longburn, Manawatu region which is only 10 minutes travel from Palmerston North.
The special effects used in this film, will be largely engineered by Sir Peter Jackson company whom have skills in make props used in films they will help us to deliver the most masterful effects. Peter also went to school with my brother Bill Donachie too.
In the past I worked on various films like Dark City, The Limey, The Score and also on Brian Brown's movie 'Two Hands'.

In short, if my Kickstarter campaign succeeds, you will find you are drawn in to something special and will have the pleasure of knowing you've helped to share my project.
