Ever dreamed of putting on a hard hat and driving an excavator through a busy construction site? Now you can! BUILDANAUTS is a fun construction game for industrious boys and girls of all ages that allows you to survey, design, build, and manage your very own town. In BUILDANAUTS, you’re the city planner, foreman, and mayor of a town you’ll build from the ground up.
BUILDANAUTS (formerly known as Tiny Diggers 2) is the game for the kid in all of us who made truck noises while digging in the mud with a plastic bucket. We began work on BUILDANAUTS eight months ago, and have been busy bootstrapping and prototyping the game in Unity 3D, toiling away on evenings and weekends while making other games for our clients. We have now moved into a brand new office in the heart of Halifax to work full time on the game. This is where you come in!
EXPLORE YOUR OWN OPEN WORLD
The world of BUILDANAUTS is a vast canvas just waiting for you to shape it. You can jump in an excavator to dig the terrain, or just walk around with a shovel looking for resources.
DESIGN AND BUILD A TOWN FROM THE GROUND UP
Watch in wonder as your construction crew realize your plans by building houses, buildings, and roads! Design your town using a flexible 3D editor, then grab a tool and lend a hand around the construction site.
MANAGE YOUR OWN LIVING TOWN
As you build houses and roads, resident Buildanites will move in and bring your town to life. You’ll have to keep them happy by managing traffic, maintaining roads and houses, and building improvements. The happier your residents, the more will move in!
CLIMB THE RANKS OF THE CONSTRUCTION WORLD
Start out as an Apprentice and work your way up to Foreman simply by playing the game, or by completing side-quests and challenges. Reach population milestones, keep your Buildanites happy, and manage your money well, and you will be rewarded with more tools, vehicles, and skills.
OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY
Dig holes, dump dirt, deliver materials, pick up garbage, and more! In BUILDANAUTS, you can drive a wide variety of vehicles, including excavators, dump trucks, bulldozers, forklifts, flatbed trucks with cranes, wrecking balls, steam rollers, recycling trucks, cement mixers, food catering trucks, cars, and more!
WIELD CONSTRUCTION TOOLS
Grab a tool and perform jobs to improve your town and earn in-game currency. Tools include: hammers, shovels, pickaxes, jackhammers, saws, and many more.
BUILD WITH A FRIEND IN 2-PLAYER CO-OP MODE
Take jobs together with a friend or family member, or wander off and explore together. BUILDANAUTS will be playable in online co-op on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and in local co-op on consoles.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR CHARACTER
Choose from numerous outfits, facial expressions, gender, skin tones and helmet colors!
EXCITING SOUNDTRACK BY SEAN BEESON
We’ve teamed up with award winning composer, Sean Beeson to make the soundtrack of BUILDANAUTS as exciting as possible! Sean has worked on music for film trailers, including Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Hairspray (2007), in addition to numerous cable TV shows and over 75 games.
BUILDANAUTS will be available on Windows, Mac, Linux, Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. We will release the alpha-beta desktop versions in November-December 2014, and we’ll roll out the console versions in the spring of 2015. We already have licenses and dev kits from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo; now it’s time to finish the job!
We’ve bootstrapped development of BUILDANAUTS out of our own pocket and through a local business bank and a funding organization. We’re ~ 50% done with the game, but now we need additional funding to pay the staff as we complete the project.
We’re looking at six months of development left to finish the game. With your help and support, we can create a multi-platform game that’s ambitious and truly original. Help us realize our vision!
Funding through Kickstarter will allow us to address and polish the following aspects of the game:
• Additional staff and content;
• House editing and drawing tool (drag and drop planning);
• Truck controls and interaction;
• Terrain system;
• Character tasks;
• Resource management;
• Character animations;
• Currency system;
• Character challenges;
And much more!

TouchTilt Games is an independent game studio based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was founded two years ago by Shane Whitehouse, a veteran of the interactive entertainment industry. We create high-concept, fun games for multiple platforms, and emphasize simple play, positive experiences, and creative problem-solving. We strive to make games that will stick with you for a long, long time.
It’s well known that time management can be challenging when developing a videogame. Fortunately, our team is made up of videogame industry veterans who have shipped many games and know how to do it all over again. Together, we have over 12 years’ experience making and finishing games. We know how to plan and schedule development, then deliver on that plan.
As you can see from the screenshots and prototype videos, this game is well past the ideation stage. We know the game we want to make, and we’re looking for investment through Kickstarter for very specific tasks that will take us all the way to release.
We’ll keep you up to date on our progress here on Kickstarter and give you sneak peeks at the progress of BUILDANAUTS. Your money will enable us to finish the game, and your early feedback will guide our choices in making it awesome.
