We all know world will end in a Zombie Apocalypse, but do you really believe that we will just try to survive? No way. So why most Zombie games are about surviving?
We love Zombie Mythology, Movies and Games, but we are tired to play Surviving Games. We miss a good FPS Zombie Games.
Unlived War is a FPS Horror Action game, you play a special force soldier on military missions to Clean, Rescue and Secure city urban areas.
The game is played mostly on narrow spaces, on maze like levels, increasing the pressure and tension.
The game will focus on a mix of Fear, Responsibility and Commitment. The game pace is focus on continuous action, where the player is focused on complete their missions and while gain terrain.
The game is a action FPS, you play as an special force soldier. You receive orders and missions from the COG command centre.
Each mission you are dropped from an helicopter in a indoor or outdoor area, and use your instructions to achieve the goal, like rescue people, retrieve material, search for information, or secure a zone.
As there are Unlived at the area, during the mission development you engage in combat, cleaning the area from Unlived will avoid to be killed by them. Usually you will not face hordes, but a more short range contact with the Unlived.
Once you achieve your goal, you must go to the extraction point, what could be specially hard in missions you must escort civilians you rescue.
In each mission, you have a limited inventory, and must manage your ammo, equipment, medicine and food.
During the game play, you will face hard decisions, like rescue civilians or leave them to die, or keep exploring the area, to find more resources.
To create a FPS Horror Action Zombie game, without go to the traditional horde of zombies running toward you, we create the Unlived. They are a kind of aggressive zombie, that move fast, but also hide and chase you.
They are more intelligent, strong and aggressive than a normal zombie, and most like "I Am Legend" style.
We will use modern real weapons, and produce a good variety and number, focus on game use and strategy. The amount of ammo will be realistic, as well the amount of ammo you can carry.
In each mission you are equipped with some weapons, and can find more around the level. In some missions, find a better weapon will be important to help you survive.
What we did so far?
We already develop a playable alpha, so you can try the game playing at The Maze.
This campaign focus on fund the first chapter, a 30 minutes to an hour of fun, engaging game play.
Risks and challenges
The most challenge aspect of the game is the level building. We will need most of the resources to develop high quality 3D levels, weapons and strong characters. We will focus on produce levels that you can explore while complete your mission.
Also the Unlived Zombie diversity is very important, as we intent to produce hundreds of different zombies, and intent to use UMA Technology to address this problem.
Of course, a big challenge is the funding. Our idea is to kickstart the first chapter of the game, to be able to create new campaigns, but also allow us to greenlit steam early access.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
