Why This Project
Recent years have brought the prevalence of texting, emails, blogs,
social media, and ebooks. People are reading more now than ever before
and there is a great need for quality, inspirational, family-friendly, faith-based
Digital publishing methods have also resurrected a lost literary form -- that of the serialized story. A serialized story, or serial novel, is a full-length story that is released in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly "episodes".
Great writers of the past popularized this format: Charles Dickens (The Pickwick Papers and Great Expectations), Leo Tolstoy (Anna Karenina), Gustave Flaubert (Madame Bovary), Alexandre Dumas (The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers), and Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes). Across the pond, in America, the serial format was also well-received with some of the most famous works in American literature first being published as serials: The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James, Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Moby Dick by Herman Melville to name a few.
These aforementioned serial novels and many others were published in magazines and newspapers. Readers supported the writers by subscribing to the magazine or newspaper to continue reading the story. And the writer is benefited by consistently having his or her name in a widely read publication.
The serial format fosters a special connection between the reader and the writer, allows writers to modify and direct the story based on the input of readers, and gives the reader the satisfaction of reading a portion of the story and the expectation of looking forward to the next episode. Additionally, if the writer is publishing a series of novels, the reader no longer has to wait several months between each story in the series. As soon as he finishes one, the beginning of the next one is likely already available for him to read.
Our goal is to completely publish at least 15 family-friendly, inspirational stories in the serial novel format by November, 2014. These novels are contemporary fiction stories involving real-life issues: marriage, romance, divorce, raising children, adultery, living the Christian life, current events, faith issues, domestic violence, politics, and how characters persevere through these problems in life.
Five serial novels are already in progress.
...And Family Drama Just Won't Stop II (completed)
Monica and Jonathan have a blossoming relationship and their future together looks bright. Will it always remain that way? Has God finally answered Pastor and Sister Richardson's prayer for a child only to take that child from them? Charles Herron is definitely getting back with his wife and daughter, but to say Yvette, his girlfriend, is upset, would be an understatement. Will she be successful at ruining his family?
Will Stacy decide to marry the father of her baby boy? The drama continues in this sequel to the Kindle bestseller, ...And Family Drama Just Won't Stop.
Years of discord between a prominent pastor and his wife culminates in her publicly refusing a simple request and it seems their marriage will end in divorce. Before long, the pastor has begun dating a new woman -- Charmaine. However, there is one problem: Charmaine belongs to a community of immigrants hated by the assistant pastor, Brother Martin. Behind the scenes, Brother Martin works to get the community of immigrants kicked out of the church and the country. When Charmaine uncovers his plot, will she choose to keep silent? And what will she do when she gets to know the pastor's first wife?
The Unspoken Prayer Request (completed)
Mother Jamison is concerned about her daughter, Aubrey, who is struggling with domestic violence in her marriage to Jamaal. Not wanting to override her daughter's desire to make their marriage work, Mother Jamison decides to take the matter to the Lord in prayer and let Him work it out.
The Prophet, the President, and the Pastor
President Robert Rushmore's goal for the mid-term election is to keep his party in control of Congress, but when some key leaders refuse to go along with his agenda, the prospects look surprisingly bleak. Rev. John Coverly has walked with God for many years, and he isn't afraid to say what he believes to be true. But, as opposing forces try to silence him at all costs, will he stand firm, or will his voice be drowned out by hateful foes? Megachurch pastor, Ellis Emerson, gets sucked in by the lure of his proximity to power. But, around him, his family is disintegrating and he is tempted to compromise what he knows to be true. Will he recognize his error before it is too late? With sinister elements operating under the radar, corrupt politicians plotting in the halls of power, and disaster and tragedy rocking the nation, how will the choices of three men affect the country?
I Need Someone to Pray with Me (sequel to The Unspoken Prayer Request)
After being found not guilty in Jamaal's murder trial, Aubrey struggles with grief over her husband's death and feelings of loneliness. As she slowly gets back into life at her mother's church, she begins to grow spiritually. Will a new love help heal her heart and help her grow in her relationship with God?
(In the future, our goal is to have some of our stories made into movies that will play on TV -- such as on the Up channel and Lifetime -- as well as sold on DVDs and BluRay. We believe that stories such as Charmaine, The Unspoken Prayer Request, and The Prophet, the President, and the Pastor will do very well in this format.)

We're not stopping with just the books mentioned above. We already have ten more stories lined up to publish. All we need now is the funding...
How You Can Help
Here's where you fit in.
Our aim is to publish 15 serial novels by November 2014. Three serial novels are already completed; and we are currently publishing three more. One will be completed in the next few weeks. The other two are just launching and will conclude in December. We have plans in place to expand our serial novel publishing into other genres including young adult and urban fiction. The funds raised via this campaign will provide us the capital needed to do the following:
Pay for the cover design of each novel
- Pay for the editing and proofreading of each episode
- Pay the monthly fees for the server that will host the serial novel episodes
- Pay for promotional costs
- Pay for the production of iOS and Android apps so people can download their favorite novels on their mobile devices
You can help us fill digital bookshelves with inspiring stories that people will love to read. In return for your support, we’ll send you free serial novel episodes, free completed novels, and give you the chance to become involved with the creation of new serials. You’ll be able to suggest a name for a character in an upcoming serial and have a say in the plot of future episodes. You'll even be able to suggest a story idea that you would like to see published. And, since you will become a supporter of this incredible vision and a
valued contributor to the world's literary heritage, your name will be
put in the acknowledgements of each serial novel.
