**Note: About Overpledge and Early Bird**
In order to thank the people who support us at the beginning, early birds will have sightly larger/better quality diamonds in their necklaces and earrings.
For all pendants/earrings pledges, if you overpledge (for example, USD200 for non early bird rose pendant lite) we will try to pick extra large/better quality stones for your rewards.
*Path of Life series currently only have colour upgrade (D-E) available for overpledge.
I can speak English, Chinese, and simple Japanese. Please feel free to contact me if there's any question.
Main Ideas for This Project

From Fine Jewellery to Lite Jewellery
Most of my friends (including my best buddies since childhood) have never owned a fine jewellery, just like many young people nowadays.
They think fine jewellery are only for wedding or high-class party, which is a pity in my opinion.
Jewellery is part of fashion too.
A sensational piece of jewellery not only can show your personality like an artistic perfume,
but also make you look more radiant and confident.
I really want to make something affordable (and comfortable to wear) for them to try, but almost as high quality as fine jewellery so that we can wear the jewellery for many years.
Having done some research about synthetic diamonds, I found that beside being lower cost, synthetic diamonds are also more environmental friendly compared to natural ones, which made me want to promote it to the world through Kickstarter.
Frankly speaking, this is the first time I used synthetic (lab-grown) diamond in my jewellery. Since the lab-grown ones are lower cost, it made me able to have fun with larger and more diamonds too.
Why Lab-grown diamonds?
Using my rose necklace in this project as an example, if we are using natural (mined) diamond for the main stone, more than 20 tons of earth are mined in order to get the same size of natural diamond.
How do I know if your jewellery is high quality?
My friend asked me similar question when we were having dinner in a restaurant. I covered my ring with a hand. blocking most of the spot lights above the ring. Even under shadow, my diamonds never look dull. Better cutting and craftsmanship make the noticeable difference.
About the Rewards
1. Path of Life Necklace
Among all of the rewards, this is the one with the greatest price-performance ratio.
It looks far more, far more expensive than its actual price.
There are few secrets on craftsmanship and diamond polish to make it outstanding from other shops necklaces of similar design ♥
If I replaced the craftsman or the diamond engineer with other people, the magic wouldn't work.
(By the way, the necklace also matches wedding dress very well!)
Material: 18K White Gold, Lab-grown diamonds
2. Path of Life Bracelet
Although the material price is higher than most of other rewards, I am currently saving money every month to buy this one for myself.
To be honest, if it was made of natural diamonds, I couldn't afford it.
Every lady involved in the making progress loves it! (I am not exaggerating: Daughter of the rough stone supplier, ladies from the craftsman company, me for sure, etc.) Among all rewards, this one receives the most compliments.
If you are buying it as a gift to someone important or as a reward to yourself, it won't disappoint you!
The box clasp is fairly easy to use. I can wear it with one hand, including the safety lock. (I have problems with lobster clasp, so I choose box clasp for this one. Quick and easy.)
If you are always in a hurry in the morning like I do,
or afraid of choosing mix-and-match fashion like I do,
you may grab this bracelet and go. Wear it on the way to work, without worrying whether it matches your dress today.
It is always subtle but fashionable. You may mix-and-match it with other bracelets too.
Material: 18K White Gold, Lab-grown diamonds
3. Memories of Rose Garden
Lab-grown diamond version remake of my【Memories of Rose Garden】 series.
Size: Each rose is about 2cm.
Normal: 18K rose gold (higher price)
Lite: Silver with extra-thick 18K rose gold plating (lower price)
*Overpledge/Early birds will have 0.10ct and up!
Rose Earrings (Lite)
++ Also appear at 0:18 & 0:37 in the video ++
Rose Necklace (Lite)
++ Also appears at 0:43 in the video! ++
4. Lab-Grown Tsubaki (Lite)
++ Also appears at 0:09 & 0:31 in the video ++
I have made same pendant with natural diamond before, but it was only in doll size.
Now I am remaking it with lab-grown diamond for human, just for this Kickstarter project.
There will be a mark at the back of the pendant to distinguish between natural ones and lab-grown ones, to avoid confusion. (They can be separated by testing machines too.)
If you are not comfortable wearing "tooo large" diamond in daily life, this is the one for you!
Also have KITTEN CHARM + adjustable chain at the back of necklace!
5. Star of Cupid
I enjoy viewing the diamond closely during leisure time. It is like looking at a kaleidoscope, or looking at a star with telescope.
After getting our Hearts-and-Arrows cut lab-grown diamond, you may observe it with a loupe, or an optional special scope for viewing Hearts and Arrows pattern.
Hearts and Arrows is the most difficult type of round brilliant cut so far. It shows eight identical arrows from the top view, and also the eight hearts from the bottom view.
If an angle of one facet has an error of 0.2 degree, the pattern will be ruined. It also requires more (almost double) processing time and effort than normal excellent cut in the market.
The smaller the diamond is,
The more difficult to produce Hearts and Arrows.
*This can be delivered earlier than other rewards.
6. Thank You Card
The card will be hand-written by me and I will send it to you by email.
If you pledge more than the postage fee, I will send the hard copy to you. :-)
About the Diamonds
The diamonds used in this kickstarter project are LAB-GROWN (a.k.a. Synthetic). They are not natural.
Scientists create an environment with high temperature and pressure, and grow diamond rough stones inside laboratory.
It is like making distilled water instead of mining for ground water.
i.e. The diamonds are not extracted from mine. They are not conflict diamonds neither.
Q: Why lab-grown diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are actually more environment-friendly than natural diamonds. Using synthetic diamonds in my designs can lower the price and show diamond cutting techniques and detailed craftsmanship to more jewellery lovers.
Although natural and lab-grown diamonds are distinguishable by machine, the final jewellery pieces of lab-grown diamonds are more beautiful than I expected. Lab-grown diamonds few years ago in my memories were rarely as high colour grades (i.e. white) as now.
Q: Do lab-grown diamonds look the same as natural ones?
They can be easily distinguished by common testing machines, but not by human eyes in most cases. Diamond experts may see the difference between cubic zirconia(CZ, not diamond), crystal(/glass) and diamonds without loupes, but can hardly see the difference between natural diamonds and synthetic diamonds without loupes or machines.
Q: May I order jewellery with natural diamonds?
Yes, the material price will be higher though.
(In such case, only the rough supplier is changed. Diamond polishing and craftsmanship remain the same.)
About the Rewards
Q: What is the difference between Lite(lite jewellery) and normal(fine jewellery)?
Lite is made by silver with extra-thick 18K gold coating. (18KGP)
Normal is made by 18K gold. (18KG)
Their colours are slightly different-- Lite’s rose gold colour is more pinkish and lighter. Lite version is designed for ladies who doesn't get used to wear fine jewellery everyday to have a try.
If I have to describe how I feel different about them, fine jewellery using 18KG is more like oil painting, while Lite jewellery using 18KGP is like watercolour painting.
Q: Is it for human or for doll?
All jewellery pieces in this Kickstarter project are human size!
Tsubaki, the necklace that the model is wearing in the video, can be worn on both doll and human. ( *To avoid confusion, lab-grown ones will have a tiny mark at the back. )
I may adjust the necklace length for children or dolls as requested too.
Q: What does the word “Twin” in the rewards mean?
For example, if you choose “Rose Necklace Lite - Twin” as reward, we will try to match 2 similar size, colour, clarity lab-grown diamonds and use them to make two necklaces for you.
Q: May I have "Triplets"(3 pieces) instead of "Twin"(2 pieces)?
In such case, just contact us, choose the Twin reward and overpledge with additional unit price.
Q: Why is there a cat charm at the end of adjustable chain? Not a butterfly or a heart?
It is because my cat is my BOSS. :-)

In the future, if the jewellery is damaged, dirty or maintenance required, Tooo Mini can handle it.
Light repairing process like repolishing (gold re-plating) after 10 years of use and repairing prongs, etc. doesn't require extra service charge (unless some stones are missing), but customer needs to handle the shipping fees.
Thus, please take good care of your jewellery pieces. For example, take the bracelet off when lifting heavy objects. Jewellery is not a consumable......
Photos are for reference only.
Since all products are handmade, actual products may slightly differ. (e.g. prongs' positions, colour difference due to monitors, etc.)
Behind The Project
If you want to know more...
Q: Why choose Kickstarter?
I would love to meet individual jewellery lovers and potential customers from many different countries and cultures. When I first have the idea about building my own brand, being international is already part of the dream. Following local trend may result in lack of diversity in design. If I forget what I truly like, just produce what people "suggest" me to make, make similar designs every year and stay inside the comfort zone, it is not art. When it comes to jewellery, I want to be an adventurer.
Also, to me, Kickstarter is an ideal place for fairtrade and meeting respectful customers. No one will look my jewellery down just because my brand is small and new, or place a large order for big discount, and then return 95% of products, like some bad merchandisers of famous companies did (they are repeat customers though).
Sometimes... It is a sin to be small.
(Not just me, but also the craftsmen and diamond engineers.)
I have connections with talented professionals in hiding, who can make great quality products. Without paying as much as big companies for advertisements, I can arrange a fairer and larger proportion of selling price for the craftsmanship and diamond engineering. In return, they will reserve better rough, better stones and spend more time to refine the jewellery pieces for me. I hope the craftsmen and engineers can continue to focus on their work, research and development, instead of being worried about the cash flow and living.
If I were looking for large profit,
I could choose cheaper and lower quality labour,
but my jewellery wouldn't be satisfying,
and my brand wouldn't be true luxury anymore.
My dream is not like that. If my dream was just chasing money, my path would have been much easier.
(By the way, I am not afraid of copycats on the internet. Even if they copy the design, they can't copy the quality and techniques. Like the Chinese proverb, It is just "Dongshi imitating Xishi".)
Q: Why a HK$8000(about US$1030) target?
There is a minimum order for the craftsmanship. Once half of the early bird pleges are sold out, it should be almost enough. And if this project is overfunded fortunately, after paying for the rough, polish labour and craftsmanship labour (and Kickstarter's charges), and reserving small amount for after-sales care for your jewellery, I will use the net profit to make more samples of my other designs, which I will mention in the last question.
Q: Do you accept tailor-made orders?
Yes, you may, for example, ask us to change the design using light blue lab-grown diamonds, but only 18K gold product is available (no Lite).
If you want a completely new design, it may take much, much longer time. Every time we have a new design, we discuss and have many many trials to find a better proportion (to make it looks good on you) before we start to create the final product. Sometimes we may need a photo of your hand (or similar photos from google) for designing a tailor-made ring too.
We can also try to find gemstones for you if the design has colour stones (sapphire, synthetic ruby, tanzanite, etc.).
Q: What’s coming next in Tooo Mini?
1. I am now working on some accessories inspired by comets and shooting stars.
2. Since I am actually a Gothic lover, I will also make a Gothic style pin made with synthetic sapphires. Hopefully they will be ready later in this year.
3. I have drawn a design about a memorable moment, but it requires quite a lot of diamonds and gold so I can't afford the sample yet... If I can make it real in the future, it will definitely be one of my masterpiece.
4. Two months ago I visited another traditional talented craftsman, who loves playing with proportions and symmetry. (He & his team made Path of Life for us.) We may make more simple, but hard-to-craft designs with him later. (Yes WE BOTH ARE SO EXCITED!) We are also discussing about MENS jewellery ;-) I currently don't have enough budget for making the sample though...
Please subscribe to our e-magazine in our website or follow us on Kickstarter / Facebook / Instagram so that you may hear the news as soon as possible :-)
Risks and challenges
Since all jewellery pieces are hand-made by only highly-experienced old craftsmen, they may need more time if we have more orders than expected. (I have included a delay in estimate delivery date though.) Also, if some products cannot pass our quality check or customer's special requirements, we may return them to the craftsman for adjustment, which will cause a delay.
Please note that I will never change craftsmen. (i.e. Craftsman who is making your jewellery = craftsman who made the samples in the photos)
They are part of my inspiration. When I was thinking of the design, I was hoping to show the best part of their individual talent.
If changing craftsman for quicker delivery, it's putting the cart before the horse.
Besides, it is possible that the default chain for necklace is sold out later. It may be hard to find exactly the same type of chain from our suppliers (as we are using the thinnest chains). If it happens, we will use box chain, which also looks very fabulous and is more shiny than the default chain, instead.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
