Have a question?
Finally got my frames and maps together for the wall decor idea I had so long ago when this campaign started. Picture will be posted tomorrow.
Have any of the customs been scanned at all? I'd love to see the concepts and places people came up with.
Yes, I'm working away at custom maps little by little. The first one has already been delivered and a few more are going into the mail this weekend. I expect to be working on these for a few months, but so far I'm really happy with how they are turning out.
Hi Tony... Any update on the custom maps?
Thanks, I’m glad you got your poster! Staples are probably a good idea. Even post office employees get curious sometimes. :( Let me send you a replacement. I don’t want anybody to end up with a ripped poster!
Got ours in the UK today, looks great! Unfortunately it looks like someone got nosey and took it out in transit, it's a little creased and ripped at one end. No big deal, but maybe using some staplers to seal the ends of the tubes would prevent this in future? Any how, looks great!
So glad people are enjoying the map! Would you believe I've already been roped into another crowdfunding project? This one is not game or art related, but I'll post a link here anyway, because some people will be interested. More news soon!
got mine in today excited to hang it
I got my map style print and postcard(#18!) and now I just need to figure out how to frame it and plot out the rest of my idea.
I really can't put into words how much I love this.
The non-tube package was delivered on Saturday - but I didn't pick it up from my mailbox until today and then moments later my postman handed me the map tube with today's mail. Nice! I haven't opened the tube yet (had to return to work) but the tube itself was in great shape.
Thanks Tony! (and helpers :-) ) Wonderful project and the first Kickstarter I've backed that actually met its espected delivery date.
Almost everything was packed and labelled yesterday, so it should all be in the mail tomorrow. We ran out of international mailers and I have a few special orders to take care of today, but that should all be resolved by tomorrow. You shall have all your maps soon!
Yay! The folded map, survival guide and postcard arrived a couple of days ago. I am eagerly looking forward to the map tube.
Nice, got my folded map, survival guide and postcard today. Having fun reading the guide. Great job. Can't wait to get the rolled poster maps in so i can mount one on my wall.
Got My non-Tubed package today. Thanks for the excellent map, guide and postcard. #89 !!
So glad people are starting to receive their stuff! Did it arrive in good shape? I lie away at night worrying about the status of the posters!
Just recd my Wanderer reward today. Thanks it looks great. Gift for someone who recently moved to Seattle for work.
Anyway I can confirm it if you haven't shipped mine yet, cause of the moving and all?
Hey everybody, here's an alternate download link, as well as a grid-free map and an extra goodie! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fgp7bcrccw4i28m/fc0UObtbdO
Thanks for checking in, Josh! Yep, I've got your shipping info.
Strange question but did we already send out mailing info? Life's been hellishly crazy and I genuinely can't remember.
Thanks for the PDFs. The hi-res version is huuuge at 250 MB with lots of detail, which is great! Any chance you could do a version without the white grid lines?
Look forward to seeing the printed version of this.
Thanks for the PDF's Tony. Patiently waiting for my maps to come in the mail. :)
April would be nice
I'm free weekends if you need a hand with anything.
And yes, we are still on for April delivery, but the last packages will probably go out late in April. If you have a change of address, let me know.
Woah, that's crazy! :). Darin's art is awesome . He did the back cover for my D&D module a while back.
Damn autocorrect. Shuler. Anyways, I went to k-12 with him. If memory serves, he used to live across the street from the 7-11. I haven't heard from him in ages.
Wait. What? Darin Schuler? You've got to be kidding...
I might need to change my address for delivery. Are we still on for an April delivery?
Thanks Tony! and Thanks to Darin, I'll look him up.
I'm glad you checked in. It's rocking along. Yesterday my cover artist for the survival guide submitted his final image. He's Darin Shuler, who's a rising star here in Seattle. It looks awesome. The writing is done for the guide, but now it needs editing and final layout. That's the holdup. The map is 99% ready, I just need to see a proof. I'll post a proper update pretty soon and let everyone know the details. Even with having way more backers than I expected, things are still happening on schedule!
Hi all, I'm just checking in to see how it's going. Any idea on progress Tony?
What I'd pay a lot for is a map of Seattle for Shadowrun, with the 2050s buildings in place. That would rock.
Any more of these you make, I'm down for. Your style is unique enough that it's worth picking up. Now, for us Seattleites will we have the option to pick them up?
Exclusion zone, Chernobyl and New Orleans. Not sure which is scarier!
Congratulations! I am so glad I found your campaign the other night - just in time to get my boyfriend (who happens to work in emergency management planning AND loves zombie-doomsday ANYthing!) the most perfect birthday present EVER! Your work is amazing!
Survivors on the Golden Gate being swarmed, Alcatraz as a stronghold. Honestly whenever I think of San Fran I default to The Rock. Such a cheesy movie but damn I like it. If you have any artists friends in Baltimore tell'em to get cracking so I can have a map of here as well.
We did it! Now I can breathe a sigh of relief. Hey, I just found out that I'm going to San Francisco this summer. Time to scout for another map? :) And yes, Portland is a city I'd love to paint too.
Whoo payment successful. I'm amped.
Oh man, if you did one of these of Portland, I'd crap my pants.
More than 10x your goal...nice work!
Ha, the metro and surface of Metro 2033 would be awesome. one map of the surcafe, and an entire different one for the Metro and all its little access tunnels and side paths.
On a side note. I applaud the idea of adding a poster map for just $10. I've been wanting an option of getting the travel and poster maps.
I loved that series. Check out The Last Of Us. It's an upcoming PS3 game set in Pittsburgh and a lot of the environmental art is reminiscent of that.
I'm still trying to decide My Second Wave choice. Part of the reason why I love the Chernobyl exclusion zone idea is that area has been abandoned for nearly 27 years and nature has been allowed to take over. Do you guys remember that documentary "Life After People"? What if I did that concept, but with a city I am familiar with, i.e Liverpool. Just have Liverpool, but the doomsday simply being all humans have suddenly disappeared and nature has taken over.
So I got The Wanderer, kid, and the dog. Any way to get one poster and two sets of the street map/guide instead? That way I'd have one set preserved and a street map and guide to pack on all my trips downtown. Where I would confuse the hell out of tourists.
Hell yes, I love maps. Thanks for sending out the email.:) This will be a boon to my Apocalypse World campaign I think.
You second wavers are awesome, sadly I can't join you. But I look forward to your choices with baited breath.
