About

Hello! My name is Tabetha. I started Tombstone Crits back during the end of august/ beginning of September 2019. I started with resin dice but I always planned on expanding into much more. I've always had a passion for creating and a desire to be a positive in people's lives. After years of watching YouTube videos and devouring any information I could on mold making, resin, 3D printing, working with pressure pots and vacuum chambers, metal casting, and at home business models on a smaller scale... I've decided to throw in with the rest of the brilliant community of creators and small business owners.

Example of the dice box reward for backing $35+

I started with resin dice. I improved every set that I made. I became more efficient with my time and materials. I feel like I've peaked, though. I need more equipment to continue to grow as a creator. This Kickstarter will not only provide me with the vacuum chamber and pressure pot necessary to improve the quality of my dice, it's helping me branch out into 3D printed dice boxes and towers. Again, this will only be the beginning. My goal is to have a line ranging from affordable resin dice and PLA boxes and towers, to higher end products such as metal and stone dice. Also, wooden dice towers, leather dice bags, etc. All of the purchases made from the backings of this Kickstarter are going to be multipurpose equipment and supplies I'll be able to use for years to come. This is the helping hand I need to help take Tombstone Crits to the next level and beyond.

The divider in the dice box will be removable. The bottom will be lined with felt for rolling.

On a more personal note, I didn't have a very positive upbringing. I had a father who regularly mentally and physically abused my brother and I. I spent most of my 20's in relationships with people who didn't treat me very well. In 2017 I ended a five year relationship with someone who was incredibly mentally abusive. I felt I had zero self worth. I had no confidence to do anything. I felt like a failure before I even started. It's hard to put these exact feelings into words but if you've ever felt similarly you know how crippling that can be. Since I've started Tombstone Crits, I feel like a new person. I honestly thought this would fail. I thought people would hate anything I created. I built up the courage, though. I did it and I've had *nothing* but an overwhelmingly positive experience with it. People love the dice I create. Me. Making something that makes people happy?? That's honestly my dream. I'm starting to live my *dream*. I can't tell you how much that means to me.

Preview of the dice tower reward for $85+. Will come with a tray to catch the dice at the bottom.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I chose making products for the tabletop gaming community because I want to help people enjoy their passions. I've never seen a group quite so passionate, encouraging, and welcoming as the tabletop gaming one. I love being even a small part of that. Any and all support is wholeheartedly appreciated. I really believe in myself and in Tombstone Crits.

Risks and challenges

I've never worked with 3D printers before. I'm confident in my ability to learn the equipment and software but it's going to be very new to me. Also, I currently live in a very humid climit. Humidity isn't good for the filament needed for 3D printing. I hope to avoid this becoming an issue by storing my filament in a moisture controlled container.
