Bring "Home & Garden Economics" to LA Middle Schools!
We want to keep students active & involved in their environment, beautify campuses & contribute to a healthier life for the community!
Recently we were told that pizza is a vegetable.
At EnrichLA, we still believe in healthy, natural grown veggies from the earth. And we believe that with exposure, encouragement, and a little bit of fun, children will grow to LOVE vegetables they never even knew existed!
Our goal with the "Home & Garden Economics" program is to continue to enrich the lives of students at each of our four Los Angeles middle schools, by providing and maintaining on campus edible gardens.
We have seen first hand that gardens bring communities together. They enrich the lives of students by adding a touch of nature in otherwise urban and concrete filled areas. In many places they have also acted as a catalyst for change, helping to improve school morale, increasing parent involvement, and positively affecting class performance and test scores.

School gardens bring people from all walks of life together for a greater good.
School gardens beautify campuses that are otherwise surrounded by concrete and asphalt. They lift the spirits of children and also the surrounding community.
