Imagine Left 4 Dead, XCOM and Faster Than Light had a baby. Then add in some wicked survival tactics and you have Infectonator Survivors!
At its core Infectonator: Survivors is a randomly generated squad-based survival simulation game. The game combines Real Time Strategy, Tower Defense, Roguelike, and Management-Simulation into one solid gameplay.
Your goal in this game is to lead your group of survivors to safety. You must do everything you can to survive, such as : scavenge resources, build defenses, raid buildings, and much more. Every decision you make in this game matters because death is permanent and every play is randomly generated.
Features
Squad Based Real Time Strategy - you control a squad of survivors, not just a single hero.
Combat in Infectonator: Survivors happens in real time. You control your survivors using familiar real time strategy mechanics.
Protect & Manage Your Home Base - manage your survivors and your base.
When you first arrive, your home base is nothing more than an abandoned building. As you lead your group on successful expeditions, you will earn resources, and recover items and materials which can be invested to improve your home base. Doing so will not only yield gameplay benefits, but will allow you to recruit new survivors, upgrade your squad's skills, and improve their equipment.
Assign survivors to do projects, such as research, farming, and crafting. Manage the resources you collect and don't let your group starve to death. These are some of the things you'll need to keep in mind in Infectonator : Survivors.
Explore Unique and Unexpected World - Send your survivors to explore a world filled with danger and unexpected events.
Roguelikes can never be separated from procedural/random generated elements. Many aspects of the game are randomly generated to give you unique experience every time you play.
Permadeath - each survivor matters, every decision counts, and death is permanent. The game will end once everyone in your group dies, and you'll have to start again from the beginning.
Weapons, Gear & Crafting - There are tons of unique weapons & gear your survivors can use. Every weapon and all your gear have their own unique attributes that can affect your characters for better or worse. You can also collect materials and craft your own items in the game.
Characters, Teams, and Campaigns - choose your starting team, each character has their own unique perks and story. As you dive deeper into the game, you will uncover stories about your survivor's past and how the apocalypse is affecting them.
You might also recognize some special groups and characters from your favorite games, movies, and/or even youtube channels. We've been given permission by Valve to use the original Left 4 Dead team as special cameo characters!
Beautiful Pixel Art Graphics - feast your eyes on beautiful retro style pixel art graphics.
Mod-able - Infectonator : Survivors supports modding. The game allows you to create your own characters, enemies, items, etc. and share your creations with everyone!
We will provide you with template assets and tutorials on how to mod the game and truly make it your own!
- You can also gain access to the game's source code if you choose the $5,000 reward tier. You'll be given access to the project's gitHub repository once the full game is complete.

Platforms
We're targeting to release the game on these platforms:
- Desktop (PC/MAC) - The game will be accessible through Steam, you'll receive a Steam Key immediately after this Kickstarter campaign has been successfully concluded.

Mobile* (iOS/Android) - We will bring the game to mobile devices after we have finished the game's core development. Mobile version is expected to be released several months after the full release of the desktop version.
The game will be available on both iOS & Android. However, Apple doesn't let developers distribute iOS apps outside of their store, and has no system for giving out codes like Steam does. Therefore, we are only able to give the Android version as a reward. iOS version will have to be purchased from the App Store separately. - Early Access (Steam) - Early Access will only be accessible through Steam and only for PC and MAC.
*) Keep in mind that modding support and early access will only be available on the desktop version (PC/MAC).
Why Kickstarter?
Infectonator : Survivors has already passed Steam Greenlight and is currently available on Steam Early Access with very positive reviews. So why do we need Kickstarter?
We have already substantially invested in Infectonator : Survivors. We have been developing this game for a little over 2 years and have made many iterations to the game and covered out-of-pocket costs ourselves.
While most game studios take their games to Kickstarter first and launch them on Steam Greenlight later, we are taking a different approach. We created a working game first, got it Greenlit, listen to our fans, and prove that we are able to deliver what we promised so that you don't have to wait to get your hands on the game.
Now, we need your help! Even though we've managed to go this far, our limited resources did not allow us to go as fast as we hoped.
We have completed most of the gameplay mechanics, but the game still needs a lot of content (such as: stories, quests, bosses, etc). This is why we are taking our Steam Early Access game to Kickstarter, so that we can finish the game faster and add more features and content. Help us make our vision for Infectonator : Survivors a reality.
With additional funding we will be able to hire extra help and finish the game faster with better content including:
- Giant monster bosses & new enemy types
- Story events, quests, and cut-scenes
- More characters, npcs, and special teams
- etc.
Secondly, with the game Greenlit and available in Steam Early Access, you don't have to wait to get your hands on the game! You will get a copy of the game as soon as this campaign ends, no need to wait!
And not only that, whatever the outcome of this kickstarter campaign we will still do our best to continue development and finish the game.

Stretch Goals
NOTE: We'd love to do every single goal listed here regardless of the amount raised, but we will be constrained by both time and money. If we don't reach a listed goal, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be in the game.
These targets are just a way to ensure you that it will be in the final copy on release day. We will do our best to get every single one of them in.
Also, if we managed to raise enough funds to cover our years of hard work, we are willing to open our game's source code to everyone. If this goal is achieved, we hope that it will help aspiring game developers get a head start in game development.

Infectonator : Survivors is being developed by Toge Productions in Karawaci, Indonesia. The original creator of Infectonator, the popular Flash game series. Our team is composed of :

Risks and challenges
Making a game is never an easy undertaking, and developers have to deal with a variety of risks. Here's how we are dealing with each of them:
FINANCIAL RISK: We have invested in Infectonator : Survivors ourselves, and are fully prepared to do whatever is necessary to reach completion. We poured our own money from our own pockets to fund the game's development to this day. We wouldn't be asking for your support if we didn't already have our own skin in the game. We can do it with your help!
SCHEDULE RISK: The completion date for the game is an estimate based upon our experience running similar game projects in the past. Should some features take longer than expected to implement, there is a chance that the completion date will slip. If we feel this is necessary for the good of the game, we promise to be transparent about any date changes and keep you, the backers, informed along the way. Even better: Infectonator : Survivors is already available on Steam Early Access, you don't need to wait to get your hands on the game, even if the final completion date moves.
