Hellbound is a first-person shooter in the vein of classics like DOOM, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and many others, but using the most recent technology in visuals and audio.
It's GROTESQUE! Focused on action, speed and gore!
You play as Hellgore, a huge ass mother f**ker who loves killing Demons in Hell.
That’s it. Actually… there’s a cool story too, but it doesn’t really matter for now.
Miss the FAST-PACED-NONSTOP-ACTION from the good old days?
Then Hellbound is for you!
Using rusty metals, burnt flesh and bones, this weapons have been constructed with one single purpose: TO KILL THEM ALL!
And these are only the basic weapons, which we’ve already implemented in the current Survival Mode. The BIG ONES depend on you!
Need health or more bullets to continue the massacre? We got you covered!
And of course, there’s no auto heal, XP, level ups or anything like that.
Also, if standing 10 feet tall and weighing 600 pounds of pure muscle and testosterone isn’t badass enough for you, you better get some of these.
Want to see this craziness in action? Check this out!
By the way, we want to add a bunch more of them!
We have done A HELL of a lot of research and tests to get the best results in visuals for Hellbound.
You can see that in this environment concept art created by the very talented Victor Ahmed.
Characters and Animations
The creatures also came to life (or some form of it) after months of preparation, making them look as grotesque and tough as possible.
Here’s the insane work of Fernando Muzzio, another beast from Hellbound.
But these guys need to get into the 3D world so you can start killing them, right? That’s where the great Juan Caratino enters the arena.
And we have decided to make the animations using Motion Capture with Get Motion so they can look realistic but also exaggerated. So here are the results, including rigging and animations fixes of Dusan Vlatkovic:
All this wonderful art couldn’t be rendered-possible without a tough engine. That’s why we have specially moved to Unreal Engine 4, the most powerful game development tool available on the market today.
A good ‘90s inspired title wouldn’t work without a badass metal soundtrack, and David Levill is the perfect fit for that.
Just listen to what we’re talking about:
- "Ready to Die"
- "The Meat Grinder"
- "Imminent Extinction"
Music is only one part of the audio. There’s a bunch of work in Sound Effects as well and Hellgore needs someone of his own size to speak for him.
We have the honor of working with voice-acting titan Artie Widgery. Haven’t seen-er, heard the Teaser Trailer of Hellbound yet?

We have been working on Hellbound for almost two years now. Using our own money we were able to define the art and audio style for the game, designed the basic characters and items, developed the core mechanics and created the first playable version of the Survival Mode.
But we want to make a much bigger game, and that’s why we’re here on Kickstarter. We need your support and a base target of $40,000, so we can:
- Finish the Survival Mode version with new enemies and items.
- Create the Heroes’ Cemetery for all of our lovely backers.
- Design one first level of the Single Player Campaign, and then try to convince investors to complete the funds for the entire campaign.
But we have also set some Stretch Goals in case you want us to keep away from third-party investors and stay 100% indie:
The Survival Mode of Hellbound will always be for free for everybody and we will update it as much as we can in the future.
But all the extra content, like the Heroes’ Cemetery, a Single Player Map/Campaign or even (if possible) Multiplayer Modes, will only be available in the Final Version of Hellbound, which all backers from Tier 2 (included) and higher can access.
Independently from which goal we reach, the money will be used as shown below:
Base goal money
From the total of $40,000 we'll actually get about 3/4 of it ($30,000), since the rest will go to Kickstarter fees and Taxes.
And then, 10% of the total ($4,000) will be used to create the physical versions of the Rewards. The digital versions, like the graves in The Heroes' Cemetery, will be part of development, descripted below.
So the rest of that money ($26,000) will be used for development like this:

Risks and challenges
Making video games is not an easy task. As with any other discipline, it requires dedication, effort and professionalism.
But all of us in the team have been working on dozens of projects already. We’re getting older but also much more experienced. So we’re more than confident that Hellbound and all the rewards we’re offering here will be finished and delivered as they should be.
We expect to start sending the rewards at the beginning of 2019. But it will take more time if we reach additional Stretch Goals.
You can always write us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any doubts. I will be more than happy to answer you personally.
