TITWRENCH Festival 2011 - 3rd Edition
Denver, Colorado, U.S.A.
at G.L.O.B. and Mercury Cafe
An all ages, D.I.Y., queer and femme positive festival dedicated to supporting and showcasing female-identified and queer emerging artists pushing the boundaries of genre and form. TITWRENCH FEST is an annual mid-summer extravaganza, organized lovingly by a loose knit collective of volunteers based in Denver, Colorado.
This year's fest will take place on July 28-31st at G.L.O.B (a DIY music/art venue, established 2005) and Mercury Cafe (a community-centered restaurant and dancehall serving organic and local cuisine, established 1990), both located in Denver.
The performance line-up, curated by local music promoter and DJ, Sarah Slater will feature over 50 artists, including bands, zinesters, filmmakers, DJs, artisans, writers, dancers, poets and even puppeteers! The festivities will be emceed by Denver's Mistress of Magic, Piper Rose. This year, Piper will also be leading a donation-based yoga class during the fest, featuring local and live music.
Artists will present work that engages with the many forms of experimental music: punk, electronic, avant-garde, electro-acoustic, metal, poetry, garage, digital & analog as well as an array of indescribable and inspiring new styles and forms.
Workshops will be held exploring writing, building contact mics and sex positivity!
Your donations will help ensure that we can provide better artist fees, travel funding, local transportation, as well as venue and sound engineering costs. The more funding we can raise, the more we can provide to the artists and the better the experience will be for all. Any donation helps!!!
2011 line-up includes: The Coathangers (Georgia), Laral (Australia), Suspended (New Mexico), Married in Berdichev (Colorado), Milch de la Máquina (New Mexico), Night of Joy (Denver) , Daralee Fallin (California), Sin Desires Marie (Colorado), Joy Von Spain (Washington), Fresh Flesh (Montreal), Bicycle Voice (California), Kirtan Choir (formerly the C.J.
