"[T]he artwork is excellent. The game designer is also the artist and it's obvious that the entire game, from start to finish, is a labor of love. And he's hit it out of the park with Radiant! Radiant is a unique combination of time honored game mechanics with some new twists. It is accessible to new gamers and deep enough for experienced gamers. It is easily explained in a few minutes, quick to play, and looks stunning. Radiant is definitely a game that you'll be happy to have in your collection." GJJ Games Review
"I truly enjoy the world of Perim, from the four different realms to the diverse races and units there is a wonderful story to be told here. Randal Marsh, the designer, did a wonderful job creating this world and after playing Radiant I am left wanting to know more about it. . . .
"I love the marriage of the mechanics in this game all of which seems to flow so well together. . . . I also love the artwork and feel of the game and can't wait to see how the final version comes out." Everything Board Games Review
"This is a good family game with enough added strategy to keep long time gamers also interested." Guild Master Gaming Review (reviewed under previous title)
"A very very fun, very very spirited game. . . .
"It's a time honored tradition . . . but this one really spins it on its ear and puts that designer board game, designer card game flash on it to create an incredibly welcomed new experience. . . .
"I really dug it." Undead Viking (review below)

Hey, I'm Randal. I'm the game designer, graphic designer, and illustrator of Radiant. I'm an artist, a junior high teacher, a member of the Board Game Designers Guild of Utah, and I run the game club at my school. Radiant will be my first published design. I've been developing and illustrating Radiant for over two-and-a-half years, and I'd love your support in making this dream a reality.
Radiant could not have been created without the amazing support of many people, especially good playtesters. Big thanks to:
- The Board Game Designers Guild of Utah
- The many amazing playtesters, especially blind playtesters who put in extra work and new friends from conventions
- Jamey Stegmaier for his incredibly useful blog on Kickstarter
- BenSound.com for the music on the project video
- GJJ Games, Everything Board Games, and Guild Master Gaming for volunteering reviews for Radiant
- And You. This game will not be made without the support of gamers like you. Please pledge!
Risks and challenges
The most common challenge in board game projects is production delays. The game will be manufactured by Panda Games Manufacturing in China. Manufacturing, freight shipping to the United States and the United Kingdom, and then delivery from our fulfillment centers all have the possibility of delay. We will also be carefully monitoring proofs before printing and that could take extra time if we discover things aren't looking right. Quality will take priority over punctuality.
With that said, we fully expect to hit our target delivery date. We have carefully laid out the production schedule and we've built in a buffer so that we can deliver on time. Although artwork needs to be finalized, we waited until the art for the game was nearly complete before even launching the campaign. We're committed to working through any unexpected snags with transparency and determination to complete the project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
