Introducing our new Dry Mustard blend
We're excited to introduce our new product, a dry mustard spice blend full of flavor.
Our dry mustard blend combines the traditional mustard powder with whole and cracked yellow and brown mustard seeds and a unique spice blend of additional spices and sea salt.
We believe that our dry mustard spice blend will be the spice mix of the 21st century, the analog addition to your modern digital kitchen that will brighten up your food.
We have tried it on everything from chicken wings, stews, cheese straws , fried chicken and even veggie dishes, like eggplant salad and we can say it's definitely a winner!
Who is Tin Mustard?
We are manufacturers of delicious mustards, based in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. We launched the business in 2011 as one of the inaugural vendors during the first season of Smorgasburg, along other now popular food producers such as Slant Shack Jerky, Morris Kitchen. Our mustards are being sold at top specialty food stores around the US, including The Brooklyn Kitchen, Bedford Cheese Shop, Antonelli's Cheese Shop and many others.
We have been extremely lucky to be able to share production space with some great companies. When we started, Nekisia and Betsy of Early Bird Granola and Betsy of Salvatore Bklyn took us in into their space and were incredibly supportive. Later on, Homa of White Moustache Yogurt joined in and the four companies have since been a Brooklyn powerhouse, especially since our move to our new production space in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn.
How can I use dry mustard?
Here are just some of the ideas that we thought of so far. The possibilities are endless.
As the campaign progresses we will make individual recipes available to backers as project updates.
Why do we need your money?
In order for us to speed up the process to get this product to the market, we need your help to fund the production of our initial batch, get our tin containers printed and manufactured and to get the mustard in front of wholesale customers before the winter holidays.

Thanks so much for getting us to our goal! Even though we raised our goal amount, we'd still like your support to see how much further we can get in the remaining time. We've added a number of new, cool rewards, if we get enough interest, we will release a new, mystery mustard by end of the year.
Keeping it local
Although the logical approach would be to find a cheap tin manufacturer overseas, we decided to find a company in the US, and have identified a manufacturer in the Northeast who has been very good to work with and has very reasonable prices.
We also plan to use our existing spice company who has supplied us with our spices for over three years now to supply us with the mustard and the spices that are included in the blend.

Risks and challenges
Although we have locked in our mustard blend recipe, finalized the design and found a manufacturer, we may run into delays if any of our suppliers falls behind.
