The "Pale Blue" concept came from our fascination with superheroes (Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Jaeger, Ultraman, etc). We watch our heroes fighting monsters and evil organizations from time to time, foiling their plans at world domination where they live to fight another day.
Then our attention moved to the villains, not the heroes. Why is it that the villains never give up but would rather keep fighting to achieve their wicked and cruel plans no matter how many of their fellow comrades have died at the hands of the superheroes. So many monsters and evil creatures sacrifice their lives to achieve their organization's goal. The mere reason "they do that just because they're evil" no longer suffices to answer our questions. We kept wondering, why would they willing to risk everything to take on the world? What kind of stories are hidden linger behind those monstrous eyes and evil masks?
We are so excited about sharing our concept of “Pale Blue” concept on Kickstarter. In Pale Blue, the story will be about evil.

Pale Blue is an epic 2D side-scrolling action and stealth adventure game with immersive visuals where you take control of Ellen in semi free-roaming environments coupled with a variety of gameplay mechanics that will capture the hearts and minds of action platform fans! It is initially planned to be launched on PC.
PALE BLUE is a code name assigned to an experiment conducted by the COCOON organization. This organization has a singular focus: to create their own utopia. This utopia is a direct result of their contempt for mankind – whom they believe have become corrupted beyond redemption. The story is centered on Ellen, a normal girl turned monster by the evil COCOON. In order to fulfill their mission, they require the tools and the power to destroy – and rebuild – the world. Thus, from their own 21st Laboratory, they send out creatures that seems to be innocent humans, but are, in fact weaponized monstrosities. These monsters are the arsenal of the COCOON organization, designed to satisfy the organization's lust for power and fulfill their vision of utopia.
Ellen succumbed to evil. Instead of escaping from the experiment and fighting the evil organization as a hero, she chose to stay.
In PALE BLUE, Ellen is assigned to various missions by the COCOON organization. She fights superheroes and weapons from around the world, spreading a reign of terror unlike anything mankind has ever seen before. You will take control of Ellen's story as the human being we know and follow her path as she fades away to evolve into the evil terror known simply as, PALE BLUE.
Inspired by the classic game, “Rampage” with a similar theme, and many more exciting 2D side scrolling games such as Megaman, Prince of Persia, and Splinter Cell classic. The world of Pale Blue will be full of engaging 2D gameplay, immersive game mechanics and a deep story that will show you that being a monster isn't just about wrecking stuff. This is not your ordinary 2D side-scroller! What’s unique about the Pale Blue gaming experience is that in addition to its platform style, the player is given the ability to semi-freely roam the map. Not only that, but we have even more gameplay mechanics to whet your appetite:
- Linear Dungeon – hack-and-slash your enemies as you run through the mission and encounter various bosses and events.
- Semi-free Roaming – you are given the freedom to roam around the stages to complete various objectives or cause damage to the environment and create chaos.
- Stealth Stages – your mission is to clear objectives without sounding the alarm or being noticed by the nearby authorities to get the job done.
- Tower Defense – you are required to protect an asset from incoming enemies for however long it takes to complete the mission.
Our team has plans for many more modes and objectives to harness the best of 2D side scrolling gameplay.
The Player will also have the ability to interact with other non-player characters (NPCs) in order to trigger another mission or continue an ongoing story. Every interaction and mission will trigger a new path in the story and lead the player's character to develop in various ways.
We are also including a feature called ‘Simulator’. In the Simulator, the player will be able to replay previous missions and upgrade their character to improve their overall score.

A-215 Type 00 - Ellen is the main character of Pale Blue. You take on the character of Ellen, a monster with different logic and moral code from humans. She has many terrifying abilities like the ability to change forms, a superhuman physical strength, insanely fast regeneration, and the ability to devour humans; she can retrieve information (among other things) from anything she devours to produce a pure, unlimited source of power. She shows us that being a monster isn't as simple as the way it is depicted in movies. Ellen shows us that the everyday life of an ultimate weapon which isn't just about fighting and destroying what’s in her path; instead, there is a story behind those who fight and terrorize.
Below are the other contributing characters in this massacre:
The one responsible for all of this chaos. He and the COCOON evil overlord known as Tesla will use any means necessary in order to achieve their vision of utopia.
Simply known as the "Professor", He represents the role of a human who has lost his hope for mankind. Having lost everything in his life due to incessant warfare among humans, the Professor left his life as he knew it and joined COCOON. He joined in order to burn down this world and create an entirely new world, a fresh start. "Humans have had too many chances to live on this earth and squandered it" so he says. They are out of chances. The humans last remaining fate is to be burned into ashes and wiped out from this earth. The monsters of reckoning have arrived, courtesy of the Professor.
C-005 Type 02 - Phantom Green, Tammy
Tammy is a by-product of the 3rd phase of Project Deus and was created based on Ellen's DNA. The original purpose of the 3rd phase was to replicate Ellen using a new mass production method for the Pale Core. The experiment wasn't exactly a success; they were unable to create a stable core and most of the test subjects ended up dying off, except for one, a girl called Tammy.
Despite being a defective product, Tammy still possesses some unique abilities that Ellen doesn't have. Besides inhuman agility and dexterity, Tammy has an impressive stealth and camouflage ability that allows her to perfectly blend in with her surroundings; in addition to the ability to produce various deadly poisons and send out large amounts of electric currents from her body.
D-00 Type 3 Coffin Knight, Frei
Often in superhero movies, we encounter an army of minions will swarm the heroes in order to distract them. Although they are weaker than the heroes and are easily destroyed, they attack in massive numbers, amounts which usually allows them to buy some time for the bad guys. Frei is one of them - COCOON's combatant unit, Coffin Knights. You see, Frei is emotionless. A simple minion used as a combatant to distract, shield, or act as a pawn meant to be sacrificed on the front lines of battle. Combatant units continue to spawn even after defeat.
But, each time they're reproduced, there's always one unit that carries memories of his last life. That's "Frei". Tammy gave Frei a scarf so that she will be able to distinguish him from other coffin knights.
And of course, the world won't just sit still. Just like the scenario we are familiar with. Every time evil emerges, Heroes will rise and fight them.

With online crowdfunding, we'd like to see that this project would have a solid foundation of both financial and community support. When we shared the initial ideas of Pale Blue with our friends and colleagues, we've seen and received various feedback. We care deeply about our fans' thoughts and opinions, so we hold ourselves responsible for providing a guarantee that Pale Blue is going to grow alongside its fans.
By having the campaign on Kickstarter, we hope that the community will grow with every passing day, giving people around the world the chance to know and take part in this game. To preserve the uniqueness of the idea and concept, we would like to ensure that we - and the community - will be able to exert our open minded creative approach without bowing to the demands of publishers or other authorities.
On the other hand, as we undertake the day-to-day development of the game, we will need financial support to make sure that we are going to be able to deliver the best result. We have to admit that our strength alone will not be enough. Every cent of your generosity, will go toward funding our daily operations while also trying and accommodating dating the community's ideas and opinions for the community toward Pale Blue. The $48,000 goal is the minimum amount we need to support the growth of Ellen and the rest of the team. They are going to be allocated as such:

- 15% will be prepared for Reward Fulfillment
- 10% for daily operational expense
- 15% will be used to produce the best audio we can afford.
- 50% will be used to make sure that the people of the development team (who work full-time on this game) can stay alive and sound.
