Big and even bigger news - this is what we're up to

Posted by Tingletouch Games (Creator)

Bedroom Battle is doing really well, let's start with that!

Actually Bedroom Battle is doing so well that around Valentine's Day we ran out of the 3000 copies you made it possible for us to print last fall - so we had to print more. That's 3000 copies sold in less than six months which is amazing.

Besides selling crazy amounts of sex games, running a successful Kickstarter campaign for the re-print of other game Dare Duel, we've also worked on the Bedroom Battle app. It's not yet finished, since designing and programming an app takes time, and after that it needs to be thoroughly tested for bugs before it goes live. So bear with us. It's on its way!

... And like that wasn't enough we also made a new party game that we of course want to promote! So let me introduce Fix the World, the second game to be published by Mindmade Games! (Yes, we have two companies, Tingletouch Games for our sexier games and Mindmade Games for "regular" games.)

Fix the World is an easy-to-learn and hilarious little party game where players take turns pitching inventive solutions for global problems that we face today, such as pollution, crime, global warming, poverty, etc. The problem that should be solved each turn is drawn from a deck of Problem Cards, and to add some extra flavor to the solutions, all players also get keywords from Solution Cards to help trigger their imagination. Each round one player acts as an Investor looking to invest a huge chunk of money in the best idea, and the player that ends up with the highest total investment wins the game.

Contents: 1 Investor Card, 50 Problem Cards, 80 Solution Cards, 34 Investment Cards, 1 Sand Timer, 1 Rules Sheet. All yours for $22!

We're really passionate about Fix the World and hope you'll like it too and that you'll consider backing us. And if you do, we'd be eternally grateful if you backed us as quickly as possible after launching, as we've learned that getting momentum early in a new campaign is very important to rank high and be more visible on Kickstarter.

If you would like to see more content from the game there are of course much more information about the game on the Kickstarter campaign, but also on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page, so be sure to follow us there if you want the latest updates.

All the best,
Elin & Magnus - Tingletouch Games

Justin: Interesting. We know that some other creators, and companies, add their backers to their mailing list without their approval. But we felt that by doing so, we'd risk angering backers, since they had not opted in for these mails, and that it would feel spammy. So, that's why we decided to communicate with previous backers through updates instead, since we figured it would not feel as "pushy". I guess at least in your case, that plan backfired. Thanks for sharing your suggestions though, something to consider for the future.

Utilize your pledge manager to allow (hell, even default) buyers into your email list... Using Kickstarter updates is FORCING (it's a strong word, but I can't opt out of getting these emails) your existing customers to deal with whatever spam you feel like sending. This is the 5th(?) update in a row, in less than 3 months that does not apply to this IP/campaign. Want to send a relevant promotion (expansions)? Please use this medium for letting backers know, otherwise use a mailing list...

I am sorry you feel that way Justin. As a small business we feel it makes a lot of sense to reach out to previous backers when we create a new campaign to let them know that we have a new project. We're hoping some of you will find it interesting to know what we are doing next, and of course it is a good way for us to try spread the word about a new project.
We of course value all our backers a lot, and want all of you happy, but we also feel it would be a mistake to _not_ reach out to several hundreds of people who previously backed us.

I'd appreciate not getting your spam in the form of "updates" on a closed campaign... That's how you lose fans, not gain their business
