Wherein we express our gratitude for a successful campaign.

Posted by Timothy Sullivan (Creator)

My dearest friends,

The smoke has begun to clear in our facility after our redaction experts have laid much of our information to ruin. Several members have started to pour glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate and, of course, we drink to you!

From the depths of our hearts, the entire team at The Mysterious Package Company wishes to extend our gratitude and love to all who supported our venture. You will all be contacted during the next two weeks to inform you of the next steps to take.

There is a wonderful, yet unexpected, milestone to rejoice! In the dying minutes of the campaign we achieved our fifth stretch goal of Papercraft, and well-fought after! As such, all backers who selected any variant of Filigree in Shadow we will receive a papercraft diorama of a scene at the heart of the experience. This addition to the experience shall grant you a physical representation of where your imagination has taken you.

What secrets will reveal themselves once you see the scene in three dimensions?

What insights will come from seeing the action from all angles?

You will find out in time.

I must end here as there is much work to do. For fear I will find myself lost in the many ways that I can thank each and every one of you if I do not.

Your servant,

The Curator
at The Mysterious Package Company

Thank you all for the kind words!

@Phill: I shall send a communication to Those To Whom I Report via pneumatic tube, however, I predict the response will be my request torn to shreds, or burned to ash, or moistened to a paste. It never hurts to ask, though.

Well done. Glad I could add a tiny contribution; looking forward to the unveiling next year.

While I applaud the redaction as a means of covering the tracks, is it possible to send us a snapshot / pdf of the campaign page,? After CB was redacted I found it somewhat annoying to not be able to check back and see what mailings were forthcoming, what stretch goals had been reached etc.

On the subject of gratitude, I should like to say a few words as well.

I happened upon the funding campaign for The Century Beast by sheer chance last year and have been a member of this Company ever since. Little did I know by then that the Mysterious Package Company would turn out to be so much more than just another place to order - admittedly unusual - goods online.

What I found instead was a wealth of the obscure and the curious - and while I freely admit that ever so often I like to treat myself to one of the smaller Curiosities the Company has to offer, the musings of The Curator I find in the electronic mail no less, but often more frequent than once a month alone are worth the membership.

What I also found was a fantastic community of some of the kindest and most pleasant people I have ever met. I am usually not one to spend much time communicating online with people I do not even know personally; The Mysterious Package Company is a rather unique exception to that rule.

For the past year, nary a day has gone by that I have not been involved with the Company in one way or another, be it by devouring the latest issue of Curios and Conundrums, revelling in the anticipation of the next mailing of one of their curated Experiences at my unsuspecting recipients' doorstep or, indeed, participating in this campaign to bring Filigree in Shadow to life with all of you.

For all of this, I wish to offer my heartfelt gratitude. Is was a good year, and I am very much looking forward to whatever comes next.

What a pleasant surprise. When last I looked (late last night) we were still $60k and 15 hours away. I didn't think we'd get to the next stretch goal.

      Well done! Well done indeed!
