Bug Industries is a tabletop game with IT-themed cards and dice. The game is made to be a 20-minute lunchbreak fun for you and your IT buddies. If you like cartoons, want to get away from your screen for a while and like to laugh about all the crazy things that can happen in IT projects, then Bug Industries is the game for you.
The community can unlock a new stretch goal after completing 8, 16 & 32 achievements. We look forward to your submissions.

We’re a small web development company and fight against bugs in real-life on a daily basis. A couple of months ago we were stuck in a project and facing multiple problems with the integration. It was one of those days where everything went wrong. We literally saw endless bugs crawling out of every corner of the project.
That evening we drank a couple of beers to recover from this day from hell. Then we had an idea: Wouldn't it be awesome to face these bugs in real-life and kick their asses? But how can we get software bugs into the real world? Of course - through a game. Our team is full of gamers so this was a great fit, and the starting point for Bug Industries.
In the following months, we worked on a detailed concept for our idea: We created a set of rules, tinkered with cards, 3D printed custom 8-sided dice, talked with friends about the design, searched for a game name and so on.
After playing countless test matches to improve the game play & rules, everything was almost perfect. The only thing that we didn't like was the average game time, which could go up to 45 minutes and more. But how could we fix that?
20 minutes was our ideal game time, so you can play it during lunch or before you leave the office to go home. But how many of the different bug cards & code cards should be in the game? And which values should be more represented than others?
We could have continued playing even more test matches. But hey, we are developers. So we created a simulation written in JavaScript that can run 100,000 games in 20 seconds. This helped us identify the perfect ratio for the cards.
The result? A game that takes exactly 20 minutes. Guaranteed. Almost always.

This is our first Kickstarter project. Besides developing the game for many months, we have put a lot of time into calculating the perfect price for one game and for planning worldwide shipments.
The production of the game is simple: It is a card / dice game. But we tested countless samples from different manufacturers and now we know exactly where we will produce the game.
We spent even more time to find the best and cheapest shipping method for worldwide delivery. No one wants to buy a game that costs more to ship than the product cost itself. We’ve found a perfect solution with a professional shipping service that can get our game to you for only € 8 (~ $ 9) in the US, Canada, Europe and any other country. We even took care of all customs/duty issues for you. So just pure game fun, with no customs bugging you.
One thing we did to reduce production time & shipping costs was to exclude large goodies like T-Shirts. But don't worry, if we hit our stretch goals you will receive lots of other cool stuff.
We made all arrangements in advance to ensure that you will receive the game as fast as possible after the campaign ends.
Any bugs?
For once, no! Not in this case.

Although we fight software bugs in our business and now in this game, we love bugs in real life. We swear that no bug was harmed while producing the game. Please make sure you don’t hurt any bugs for the achievements.
