Keeping in mind balancing for late adopters, there will be no cards exclusive to Kickstarter backers. We plan on having exclusive card backs on our digital client for Kickstarter backers, and our first-print run of physical cards will have special packaging. All kickstarter backers will receive first-print physical cards.
The primary format for play, Constructed, will allow only one faction per deck, but we’re also introducing other formats that will allow you to have two or more different factions per deck. Our goal is that, no matter what cards you get, there will be a mode of play your cards can work well with.
We’re working with a local printer in Kansas City. Because of this local, home-grown relationship, we’ll be able to respond quickly and effectively to shifting demands that are natural to a trading card/tabletop game.
That’s right! While it’s not technically the first true digital trading card game, we believe Manacrest will be the first TCG to have an equally community-driven trading meta through its physical and digital formats.
Yes. Definitely. Absolutely. Given the different formats we have planned for the game, we’re so excited to see how these “modes” work in the instant connectability of our digital client. There’s no limit to the possibilities, and no shortage of opportunities to find your niche as a player.
