Animated Short: Gods and White Guys

I recently completed an animated short involving characters from Femme Schism.  It took me months to produce.  I used a combination of hand-drawn and digital animation techniques.

Femme Schism Post-Kickstarter

Hi Everyone!

I thought I'd give you an update of what I've been doing with Femme Schism in the comic book world since the end of the Kickstarter. As you know, a few weeks ago, I traveled to San Francisco to present my work at the Cartoon Art Museum for the group "Laydeez do Comics." I got to meet Trina Robbins, Maureen Burdock, Isis Rodriguez, Robin Tatlow-Lord, and many more awesome ladies! Sadly, everything happened so quickly that I can't remember everyone, but hopefully, I'll become more familiar with the group in the future. Femme Schism will be available for sale in the museum (once I am able to make a trip down to the post office).

Recently, the Dakota Student published an article on my work. You can read it here: http://dakotastudent.com/features/2012/12/und-artist-finally-illustrates-dream.php

Also I finished Volume 3, although not all of it has been posted online, and I have begun Volume 4.

I took a trip down to New Mexico on business and visited Astrozombies, an awesome comic book store, and spoke to an owner/manager about selling my work through the shop. He was very open to doing so!

In May 2013, I will be presenting my research in comics at the International Comic Arts Forum in Portland, Oregon. Although this conference is not directly related to Femme Schism, it will involve me more directly in the scholastic discourse on sequential art and hopefully my name will begin to circulate more around the comics community (many who participate in the conference also make comics).

Stragglers

I just wanted to apologize to those few who are still waiting for their original artworks.  I went to San Francisco to present Femme Schism at the Cartoon Art Museum, then I came back to a winter storm.  Fortunately, the last of the rewards will be in the mail by tomorrow.  If you do not receive your reward by late November, please let me know.  I want to make sure that everyone gets what they deserve for their generosity!

Finally!

Hello Everyone!  I finally sent out the last rewards on Friday, excluding prints and artwork.  I will be mailing the artwork and prints on Monday.  If you are a friend who lives near me, you can expect a phone call and a personal delivery.  Thank you for your patience, and sorry for the delay.  I didn't realize the amount of time it would take to get everything together, and I had a few very late responses on the surveys.  Let me know if there are any problems or if you have any questions!

By the way, this Kickstarter project landed me an opportunity at the Cartoon Art Museum where I will be presenting my work to the "Laydeez do Comics" group!

A Note on Prints and Artwork

In case anyone's confused as to the whereabouts of his/her prints or artwork, I'm just reminding everyone that if your reward includes a print or original artwork, it will be arriving in a separate tube or mail parcel.  You may not receive it until 2 weeks after you receive your book.
