About the Project
Fighting religious intolerance, gender injustice, and the wrongful assimilation of indigenous cultures, Loto, the leader of a remote tribal community, will strike you in the funny bone with her devilish wit and aggravating sense of humor. My project involves printing Volume 1 of my comic series Femme Schism and rewarding you for helping me transform it into a professional, attractive graphic novel. I MAKE NO PROFITS FROM THIS PROJECT as I am requesting the minimum. Everything you put in, goes back to you in the form of rewards. My hope is that Kickstarter will attract some attention to my work and that my work, in turn, will entertain you!
Below, you'll get a taste of its contents and information about rewards, but feel free to check out my website, which features the latest issues of the series:

About the Series
I'm an MFA student at the University of North Dakota. For the most part, this comic series is NOT graded (as many academic institutions fail to acknowledge sequential art as worthy of scholastic pursuit); therefore, I am a student/instructor by day and graphic novelist by night. I am the sole creator of Femme Schism, although some of the characters are influenced by my peers. I first write a rough script, sketch out each page, and then add the ink and marker. The final touches, lettering and frames, are completed digitally.
As of right now, I self-publish and design everything on my own, but with your help, I can reach a broader audience by printing my work!
- 226 pages
- Full color cover
- Black and white interior pages
- 6" x 9"
- 18 and up (due to language and innuendo)
Don't forget to check out my website, if you want another taste of Femme Schism: http://femmeschism.wordpress.com. To see what kind of rewards you can get, scroll down a little more.
Note: The images above (pertaining to digital prints and original artwork) may not be what you receive. The above images are simply examples of the type of artwork/prints available.
