Crumbs is an award winning competitive area control game for 2-4 players. Play as the ducks, pigeons, squirrels, or chipmunks as they fight over breadcrumbs in a city park. Sweet Granny sits alone on the city park randomly distributing crumbs to the local fauna, blissfully unaware of the vicious war raging on. Each animal will use asymmetric powers to gather the most resources. The game involves lots of strategy mixed with the chaos of crumbs and animal meeples actually dropping onto the board every round.
CRUMBS is a game for 2 to 4 players taking on the role of park animals competing for the most bread crumbs, with a single game taking between 30-60 minutes.
It’s yet another sunny day in the city. Children play ball just across the pond, tourists stroll along the paved paths admiring the local foliage, and granny has just settled herself on a bench with a plastic baggie full those long-sought-for bits of stale bread.
Players begin by choosing one of four maps to play on!
Players choose which of the four animal armies they'd like to control. Each animal has its own unique abilities and powers that let it dominate the map in their own way. The four animal armies are:
Players will take their respective animal sheets and critters (our custom animal meeples) and prepare for battle! Play begins with the starting critters dropping onto the board to randomly determine the starting positions. The first player then takes their turn by drawing and resolving a Daily Buzz card, and performing as many actions as they want/can afford to. Their first movement is free, but all other actions require crumbs to perform. Those actions include:
- Movement - Cost: 2 Crumbs
- Spawn a Critter - Cost: 5 Crumbs
- Dog Drop - Cost: 2 Crumbs
- Dog Placement - Cost: 5 Crumbs
After taking all the actions they can they pass their turn to the left, and the next player takes their turn in the same way, and so on. Once all players have taken their turn, whichever animal has Granny's Favor then drops 20 crumbs onto the board!
Play continues like this until one player reaches 5 game points (or 7 for a longer game) at which time the round finishes, and crumbs are dropped and scored for a final time before deciding the winner. The animal with the most crumbs wins the game!

Risks and challenges
This will be my first ever Kickstarter and I am excited for all of you to join me on this journey. I am still learning the ropes of running one, but believe I have all the necessary resources and logistics to carry this through. I have spent years designing this game to get it where it is today, and many months preparing for its manufacture and distribution through this platform.
Board game publishing is a costly and complex affair involving many different processes and partners in order to achieve the designer's vision, and create a quality game. My primary goal is to provide a fun experience that everyone who plays the game can share with those around them.
To help with manufacturing and logistics I am partnering with an experienced manufacturer, Grand Prix International, whose record stands for itself. From Avalon to Bananagrams and everything in between, GPI has the experience with making great tabletop games that gives me the confidence that they'll work wonders on Crumbs. Quartermaster Logistics is an experienced warehousing and fulfillment company that has been responsive and helpful in estimating the details and costs of bringing Crumbs to your front door.
I will be available daily during the campaign to communicate directly with backers as often and as transparently as possible. Due to the ever-looming possibilities of hiccups and delays, I've included a lot of cushion in the November 2019 fulfillment estimate to insure the game arrives as or before expected, and, of course, in time for the holiday season. Due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in different regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
Thank you for to everyone for all their help!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
