For those who have not yet participated, here's how it works:

First, create your custom sharing link by adding your Backer Number* (See below for information on how to find your backer number) to ‘e.fnd.to/ti22’. E.g., if you are backer 99, your custom link will be ’99e.fnd.to/ti22’; if you are backer 102, your custom link is ’102e.fnd.to/ti22’, so on and so forth. You can test this link by pasting it to the browser address bar and see if it opens our campaign. If it does, that means it works.

1. For every social platform you share, you get one FREE custom laser engraving on one piece of Ensō (can be any of the Ensō pieces). All you need to do is to post our campaign to your social networks with your custom sharing link*, add #ti22enso and @thingyfy. The more platform you share the more custom laser engraving you get. Each custom laser engraving can be used on any Ensō or Ensō Edition piece of your choice.

2. If your friends pledge on our campaign, we track the total pledges through your custom link. [Bonus] Ensō Titanium Ion Implanation Srcatch Test

A few of you have requested for some more test videos on Ensō scratch test on ceramic. So here you are.

Ensō's Unique Titanium Ion Implantation Technology: Extra Durability, Surface Hardness, and Strength

Probably the first time in the history of cutlery production, Ti22 team is deploying the state-of-the-art high energy ion implantation process which was often reserved for space tech and semi-conductors production. 

Unlike most titanium cutlery products on the market today, Ensō collection is treated with our unique state-of-the-art ion implantation process. In the ion implantation process, titanium ions, are implanted into the surface of the components to modify the surface structure and composition. The ions are projected towards the surface in a high energy beam which penetrates the surface leaving a denser nano zone. The process does not require heating the component as the ions penetrate using the kinetic energy of the beam.

Titanium Ion Implantation is a low-temperature nano level process by which ions of titanium are accelerated into pre-manufactured Ensō flatware surface, filling up gaps and correcting misalignment, thereby doubling it’s surface strength and durability.

The advantages of the process are that there is no distinct coating layer of the risk of delamination. No change in dimensions and none of the risks of carrying out elevated temperature treatments. The process is performed under high vacuum and can be carried out selectively on the wear surfaces of components. Ion implantation is used in biomedical applications for replacement joints and other titanium prostheses.

Here's an actual video inside the ion implantation chamber – you probably can't see much as it's very dark. Those flashes of lights are titanium ions colliding with Ensō surface at extremely high velocity, causing rapid eletro-magnetic field changes.

      @Geoffrey Greene – Good eye! Apologies, we indeed posted the wrong clip by mistake. We just replaced the first clip with the correct one – the same chopstick before and after with the same force applied. All conditions are the same exception implantation. Thanks again for spotting it. :)

      Cool videos, but not really a like-for-like comparison, as the first video's titanium appear to my eye to be one of your titanium straws, and the second a tapered, solid chopstick? Also, there's clearly more force applied in the first (longer) video. It may well be that the implantation process is effective and that this is an effective demonstration of that, but you need to be careful with marketing videos like this that appear disingenuous like old detergent or carpet stain-fighter commercials.
