September Update: Ranger and Wizard Classes
It's been another busy month for us working on Dragon of Legends and we are very close now to going live on Steam. There is still lots of QA to be done but the Ranger and Wizard classes are currently working in-game, and the work on the multiplayer portion is nearing completion. I will be sharing more information about multiplayer once everything is ready, but in the mean time I'd like to share some information about the newly added Ranger and Wizard classes.
Many of you have already played the Warrior and have experienced fighting up close and personal with the sword and board, but the Wizard and Ranger classes are both experts at fighting their enemies from afar. As such, they have several tricks up their sleeves to control the battlefield using movement impairing attacks and abilities. Their attacks are quite devastating, but this power comes at a cost - their armor is significantly lower than the Warrior.
Instead of the Warrior who rushes into battle headfirst, the Wizard and Ranger must pick their battles carefully and escape from danger if they get overwhelmed. As such, both classes gain access to a movement increase ability to quickly get them out of harm's way.
The Ranger's Tumble Expertise is an at will ability that allows the Ranger to roll out of danger. During this time, the Ranger becomes extremely hard to hit. Quick movement and situational awareness are the key elements which the Ranger must master in order to be successful, and provides a drastically different gameplay mode from that of the Warrior.
Once the Wizard and Ranger classes have been completely finalized they will be added to the Steam build, and you will be able to play them as soon as your client gets updated. Same goes for multiplayer - but I will make another update specifically about that once it is ready.
That's all for now! Thanks again for your patience and support!
