Hello, yes I still have the problem, I have searched for any java process but so far only the one that verifies if there is any update, I tried finishing it and had no luck. I must add that when I tried launching it I see a java process starting and finishing in less that a second, tomorrow I will try to uninstall all java installations and install them again for testing.
Hi Rolando, we are looking into the not closing properly issue. If you experience this again, close the process called javaw and that should let you back into the game. And no, monsters are quite hard at level 1 - press C to make sure your stats points are assigned and press K to learn your skills
Closing the game on Steam doesn't seem to properly close it. Steam still reads it as me playing it and I can't seem to figure out what process to End Task, have to just reboot my whole system.
Also, is there something I'm missing... First quest tells me to kill boars and wolves and they kill me WAY faster than I do damage to them, am I doing something wrong?
Hey Luis is this issue still there? It runs on Windows 10 for me when I tested so not sure what is going on there. If the game has been run and crashed, try pressing ctrl alt delete and closing any javaw processes. If that doesn't work most likely will have to chat via private message to learn more about the issue you're encountering
I'm having trouble opening the game, I have installed latest version of Java and even the Development Kit with no luck so far, it only shows the message that is opening the game but after a few seconds it dissapears and nothing happens. I'm on Win 10 x64, don't kno if this could be a problem for the game to start

This is a stupid question but where do I find what keys I use to play this game?
Hi Jacques-Olivier, yes currently the build on steam is for windows, but getting the different build configurations for Mac Osx and Linux are one of our top tasks. Working on getting this updated as soon as we can. If you already added the key to your account you'll be able to play on your end once we fix those configurations.

Our new website is still pending, but in the mean time we have been using a Discord channel for all feedback and bug reporting chats. Great job, guys! Activated my key yesterday and it is wonderful to be able to play more of Dragon of Legends! One question: where is the best place to post about errors, bugs and issues found during gameplay? Examples: more than once I left a house and suddenly the collision system stopped working; and there are some debug features (like showing collision boxes) that are still working (I am not sure it was on purpose or not). Thank you for your hard work!

@Thrive Games - Thanks for the heads up, but I highly recommend you do an "update" rather than a comment (which no one gets a notification for) so everyone can be on the lookout for their keys. It'll save you some headache in the future from resending individuals their Steam keys when the e-mails end up in people's junk folders and are deleted after a period of time.
Steam keys have been sent out to the email provided in the survey I sent a while back. This includes backer tiers $10+. If you have not received your Steam key, or are having any problems activating the product on Steam, please direct message me and I will be able to assist you further.

I totally understand your frustration and my apologies for this delay! Making Dragon of Legends from scratch has been an intense process to say the least, and there have been a lot of unique challenges we have had to overcome to get where we are now. Yes going to trade shows are fun, but by no means are we slacking off while there! We're there to promote the game!

Hey all - minor update! We went through with getting the Dragon of Legends demo up onto the Windows store. We're currently waiting for the final steps, but once the link is available I will share it with you via an update. This is going to be a public build that everyone will be able to download and play for free. This demo is separate from the beta which Backers will be participating in via Steam, and has a significantly smaller featureset.
Sounds good! I have no problem waiting, I think the game looks great. I just have no intention of joining any new social media communities or third party forums, so backer-only campaign updates are my preferred information delivery method.

Fair enough and I totally get that, just working on strengthening the community - by no means are you expected to register. I will be updating the KS page directly when significantly important information becomes available, and updates on the KS page will provide the majority of the information. Discord was set up as an option, for those that are interested, to get daily reports. Apologies if this messaging was unclear.
In regards to ETA, as indicated in the update posted today there are still technical issues being addressed by the dev team. Rough estimates from them are a couple of weeks. The main reason for this delay is the server side programming as it is extremely intensive. The entire dev team has been shifted to address these issues, in order to speed up these final remaining tasks.
I'm with Shane, is there a new estimate for a release date?

Hi Mohammad - Apologies for not addressing you directly. Dev side has been facing some complex problems revolving around the last few features and integrations needed, and this unfortunately is going to take them more time. I made a comment on the March Update post mentioning the delay, and have been keeping people in the loop directly through our Discord channel so once again, sorry that this information passed you. Effective communication is challenging when the community is scattered - so I'm working on fixing this. I'm going to be making daily updates on the Discord, if you'd like more constant communication from our end - I'd suggest joining our server: https://discord.gg/bsBJPHB This of course is a temporary fix until our new forums, and Steam community hub become active.

I understand that game development is a tough task, that's why I backed you in the first place.
But not communicating with a backer is not excusable.

Hey all! There have been some exciting new business developments that have occurred this past month thanks to one of our backers showing DoL to one of his influential contacts, which could potentially mean some very cool things on the horizon. I don't want to go into too much detail now, but I will be sure to address this in our next update. This has taken some of our time because it could be mean some great things, but the dev team has still been pushing forward with our primary goal of getting a stable multiplayer build up onto Steam for you to download and play.
In the meantime I have set up a Discord channel for Thrive Games, feel free to join if you're into that kind of thing https://discord.gg/bsBJPHB and I am contemplating creating a private Facebook group to discuss the beta with you once we have sent out the keys. We will get our forums up and running with the new website in time, but our development efforts have been exclusively on refining our custom game engine and populating it with content. These are just quick temporary solutions for communication channels until the Steam community page becomes active, and we have time to fix up our website including revamping the forums completely. Does this work for the time being? If not feel free to propose another option, but I want these conversations to be somewhat private and exclusive to the Kickstarter backers.

Steam integration is still being worked on, and will most likely take us the rest of the month to finalize but once the key has been activated, you will be able to play DoL before it officially launches on the store page.
We are anticipating a private round of feedback where we can change/improve based on what you, the backers, would like to see and do before pushing the button making the game public. Moving forward, community involvement is going to be essential for DoL's growth because it will enable us to rapidly iterate and cater the experience to exactly what you would like to play.
