What is ThinkCrate?
ThinkCrate is a series of Arduino-based project kits which provides a basic introduction to programming and circuitry. Both children and adults alike can simply choose an invention of their interest from an assortment of ThinkCrate projects and kickstart their STEM journey.

No programming knowledge? Absolutely no problem. Simply download the program code from our project website and your project is ready to run!

We know that taking the step towards "making" is troublesome, you need to research and purchase the compatible electronics, then figure out the code to make it work.
All ThinkCrate kits come with the necessary components for the project you would like to create. This saves you the time and effort of having to source for the items yourself!
Learn as you build
Step-by-step PDF instructions complete with video tutorials are available for you to follow on our ThinkPortal. They're easily comprehensible, and no additional courses or lessons are required to create your project.

Learning to fix up a new project is great fun for the individual and the family. Bring out your inner geek and fix up your project or do so with your family! Admire and play with your creation after the sweat and effort taken to assemble and program it!
We are a team based in Singapore and we bring with us close to a decade of experience in Tech Education. We started coaching robotics and coding in schools and gradually expanded to where we are today! We are a small but young and diverse team with passion for DIY electronic projects! Making it yourself is so much more satisfying!
We Need Your Backing and Support
Currently, the packing and assembly of components for each ThinkCrate is done in-house and the number of ThinkCrates that we can prepare is limited by this process. This process includes the manual soldering of certain electrical wires and components.
With the help from Kickstarter backers, we are planning to outsource the manufacturing and fabrication so that we can focus on product quality management and coming up with new cool projects. We are also hoping that Kickstarter can help us reach a bigger audience who love DIY projects as much as we do!
Risks and challenges
We are confident that we are able to deliver what we have promised.
We have been designing and prototyping ThinkCrate Projects for the past year to ensure that our projects are problem free. Understandably, electronic parts may fail sometimes. To prevent this, we perform batch testing of components to detect and minimise quality-related issues.
To ensure that the learning instructions provided for our ThinkCrate Projects are simple to follow, we have conducted classes through events and with local governmental schools.
We know that shipping can often run into unexpected delays and things can get lost. Ensuring our products are shipped on time worldwide is of great important to us and thus we have set aside more time for delivery to account for any foreseeable delays. It also helps that we are located in Singapore, a major shipping hub!
Despite being fully prepared, unexpected circumstances like natural disasters or strikes are beyond our control. However, if any issues do arise , we promise to let you know immediately along with our actions to remedy such issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
