Hello everyone!! We are The Warning. We are a three-sister rock band from Monterrey Mexico. We are Dany, 18 years old (guitar/main vocal), Pau 16 years old (drums) and Ale, 13 years old (bass). We all sing and also play the piano. We are very excited to start this Kickstarter campaign to fund our new album! First we’ll tell you a little bit about ourselves:
It all started back in 2005 when we (Dany and Pau) were five and three years old and we had our first experience with music while attending summer camp that included music and theater activities. Because of that, we were inspired to learn more about music and enrolled in piano lessons.
A couple of years later in 2008, when we were 8, and 6, we started playing the popular video game ROCK BAND when we realized, playing music is what we want to do with our lives. ROCK BAND would later play a huge part on deciding which instruments we would start playing.
Alejandra, being the youngest, had to wait until she was five years old to enroll in piano and music lessons. Once she could, she finally chose to play the bass guitar.
In January 2015 we recorded our first EP with songs written and performed by us. Playing and experimenting with different styles and genres we found that rock music was the kind of music we loved playing. All of this thanks to the influence of our parents who love this genre and from an early age, they showed us videos from bands like Queen, AC/DC and Pink Floyd.
We started covering and videotaping rehearsals of our favorite songs and our Dad started uploading them to his YouTube channel, where we had a few followers and with time, we started gaining more. Until one day we uploaded a cover for the song “Enter Sandman” by the band Metallica. It went viral and millions of people from all around the world learned about our existence.
With this decision, a series of events were set-off that would kick us into the music scene in a way nobody expected.
We always had a dream looming over us: to attend a five-week summer course at Berklee College of Music. We created a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money we needed to attend the summer course, then, The Ellen DeGeneres Show found our Enter Sandman video online and invited us to appear on the show for an interview and performance. Thanks to the huge support that Ellen gave us and the significant fan base we had gained in our social media, we raised the money to attend Berklee.
Harmonix Music Systems were aware that their Rock Band video game had been the catalyst for our love for rock, so they reached out to us, invited us to visit their facilities and included our single “Free Falling” in the latest version of the game, Rock Band 4.
In mid-2016 we started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to record our first album independently.
We decided to go independent because we believe in and love what we do and we wouldn't settle for what some labels thought would sell more; like focusing on radio friendly songs or having to change lyrics, changing our image to a tougher one (all dressed in black with painted hair), or even making our songs more commercial and danceable. So, we had some offers (and we are grateful for them, we feel blessed) but we are who we are and we do what we do, and that is what we want to transmit with our music, even if it's not considered “good business” for the labels.
We raised the money needed and recorded the album which was released in March 2017.
The album was successful. It was a surprise to us that people from all around the world were listening to and buying the album, to the point of getting tons of international fans and some of them even came over to Mexico just to see us play live.
The Warning has grown a lot since then. In 2017 we were invited to open for Def Leppard in Mexico City and Guadalajara. We also played in the Mother of All Rock Festival along with bands like Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Tesla, among others. In 2018 we opened two dates for The Killers in Monterrey and played in the Hell&Heaven festival in Mexico City, one of the most important Rock festivals in Latin America to amazing response.
During this last year, we have been working in what will be our new album, our second full-length studio album which will be a concept album. We are sure you are going to love it. We have finished writing the music and the lyrics and we are ready to go into the studio to record it. As you may know the day-to-day costs of being full time musicians is not cheap, and recording, editing, mixing, mastering, producing and printing an album takes our expenses to levels we can’t afford. We would love to keep this project as independent as possible so we can stay true to our craft and vision, that’s why we need your help to fund this album's production. For your support, you will receive very cool rewards that you can check in our “Rewards” section.
These Rewards include our new album in different formats, some limited edition merch, the Agua Fría Show which is a 2hr storytelling show we did recently,

Risks and challenges
We don't see a lot of risks involved in this project!!
We are going into the studio to record in mid August, that is a fact, the mixing and mastering should't take more than a month. We already have a team working on the album artwork and booklet and have the printing arrangements done. We are planing on releasing the album late November but we expect to have everything ready a month before. We are debuting the album live the 25th of November, that is a fact. Digital rewards will be sent in November, physical rewards will be sent no later than December. We are doing this independently, we don't need any approval from any agency nor company.
So that being said, we are ready and it's going to be fun!!
