The Waiting is already working on a brand new record! And, while many of the pieces are in place to make it happen, there is one crucial thing we still need – and that’s you!
Since the beginning, The Waiting has existed only because of the passion and support of our friends. Now, we need your help more than ever before. We are recording our new project without the backing of a corporate record label and, while this gives us wonderful creative freedom, it leaves us without financial support.
The new project is a concept record about The Trinity and we have named it “Mysteriet” – a Norwegian word that means “the mystery.” What better way to describe our sense of wonder at the three holy entities of God? The friends and fans who have heard the music for “Mysteriet” are as excited about this project as we are (maybe even more so)!
Our friend Danny Stephens (Smalltown Poets) is handling promotions and concert booking for “Mysteriet” and the exceptionally creative visual artist and musician Chris Taylor (Love Coma) is working up the album art for us. We aim to release the record before the end of 2012.
“Mysteriet” has been written and we have reached the demo stage of the project. But, in order to do this right, we need a tie up some lose ends. This is where you come in!
The Waiting is seeking funding for:
1. professional studio space to record drums and percussion
2. a final mix by our friend, Atlanta-area recording engineer Ryan Potesta (Collective Soul, Magnets & Ghosts)
3. project mastering and duplication, including artwork
4. promotional expenses
That’s it! Any pledge amount will help – from $1.00 on up. We are so grateful for all of the friendship and support you have offered to us over the years. We hope to see you again out on the road once we finish “Mysteriet.”
Brad and his daughter Dakota recorded the video up above to explain the whole thing. We hope it will charm you into providing a little financial support for “Mysteriet.”
