AcadeCon 2017 Kickstarter is going live next week.

AcadeCon 2017: Fifth Edition will be our 5th Annual Tabletop Convention and 3rd as a public event. Just like the previous two years, we are going to use Kickstarter to presell badges to raise funds for deposits and upfront costs.

The Kickstarter will run from April 13th  at 1:00 PM Eastern untill May 16th. Badges will be available after the KS ends via Eventbrite and at the door, though they are cheapest through the Kickstarter.

This year, there is a Kickstarter exclusive T-shirt that you can only get if you get a badge through the campaign. Like last year, the stretch goals for the campaign will get backers unique AcadeCon swag that will be included with the badge price. Some of the items may be for sale at the event for non KS badge holders.

Michael - It was a bit of embarrassment of riches. We had limited GM badges last year as well, but a large number of our regular badge holders and even VIP's wanted to run games as well so we had more events than people to fill them.

We're hoping to have around 500 attendee's this year - if we can get there I think we'll have a more balanced distribution of events/players.

      We'll know soon enough!

I'm so glad you're limiting the number of GM tickets! Nobody signed up for my games last year, so I didn't even get to check out the show!
