The Regrettes, a female-fronted R&B revival band from Columbus, OH have spent the year pumping out soulful jams for the people. You've all been a part of, and have helped us attain, some amazing opportunities in our short existence, such as opening CD101 Day Side B at the LC Pavilion, closing out the main stage of Comfest, and most importantly, encouraging us to make music that we enjoy playing.
We would like to take this opportunity to tell all of you that we're releasing our debut album, "Don't Talk Back," on November 30th, 2012. To celebrate we're having an album release show at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, OH with our friends, The DewDroppers and The Washington Beach Bums. We're also going to be taking our show on the road this fall with dates across the Mid-West and the South. Confirmed dates are listed below, although more will be announced in the coming weeks!
Being a band that revels in the classic sound, we find it only fitting to release this album on vinyl, but in order to do that we need your help! Getting our album mastered and pressed is an expensive process, and we'd like to use this Kickstarter campaign to give as many people as possible the opportunity to pre-order the album, buy tickets to our release show, get assorted Regrettes goodies, party with us, have us do things for you and tons more. All of the money raised will go towards giving this album the justice it deserves, and help keep our band from going completely broke.
All of our supporters have helped us achieve so much in the short time we've been a band. Help us go the extra mile by donating to this campaign, and we hope to provide you with a piece of us that will last a lifetime on November 30th at the Newport Music Hall!
Other Dates This Fall (More will be added!)
September 15th - Canal Street Tavern, Dayton, OH
October 11th - Gerstle's, Louisville, KY
October 13th - The Lounge at 12th & Porter, Nashville, TN
October 27th - Ottawa Tavern, Toledo, OH
November 17th - Cedar's Lounge, Youngstown, OH
How the Funds Will Be Used
$4,000 will allow us to get the recordings mastered and 12" vinyl records of the album to be pressed. Any money raised passed $4,000 will go towards promotional materials and activity for this fall, show production, transportation expenses on the road, additional vinyl pressings, and added rewards for donors to this campaign.
Special Thanks to Lee Mason for making the video.
